Rainfall of 69.2 mm was recorded during past four days. Maximum temperature range observed was 30.5 to 32.1 o C, range of minimum temperature observed was 21.6 to 22.3 o C, mean relative humidity observed in morning and afternoon were 92.75 % and 87.25 % respectively. The average wind speed range was 3.9 to 4.9 km/hr. Weather forecast for next five days of Imphal East (6 nd to 10 th July, 2016)Likely to have light to moderate rains upto Sunday. Sky will remain mainly cloudy to overcast, with maximum temp. 27 to 28 o C & minimum temp. 22.0 to 23.0 o C. Relative humidity may reach upto 100 % (max RH) & 54 % (min RH). The average wind speed may be 0-2 km/hr. Wind direction may be South East-Easterly to North North-Westerly during the next five days. If not sown early, sowing may be done before 1 st fortnight of July. Ginger/ Turmeric Vegetative Weeding and inter-culture operation may be done and apply 100 Kg Urea and 300 Kg SSP at 2-3 months. Avoid water logging in and around the crop field. Soybean Sowing Sow seed @ 40-45 Kg/ha or 10-11.3 kg of seed/sangam and recommended variety is J.S.335 at seed spacing of 30x15 sq cm. If not sown early, sowing must be done before 1 st fortnight of July Hand weeding should be done before 30-35 days, after sowing. Storage (seed) Dry, clean and store the seeds in RC-seed bins after proper drying of seeds and charcoal. Check for moisture content or weight of seeds. After proper drying, store grains/ seeds in well ventilated godowns. Horticulture Crops Early Cauliflower Nursery Raise nursery of early cauliflower in raised nursery beds (18-20 cm). Pineapple Fruiting Spray Zineb @ 2g/lit of water.

Ornge/ Lemon Vegetative Spray Carbendazim @2g/lit water or Metalxyl + Mencozeb @ 2.5 g/lit water on sunny day. After 7 days spray Imidachloprid @ 5ml/ 10 lit of water. Turmeric/ Coriander Intercropping Coriander variety Green Wonder or local one may be sown as intercrop plants in Turmeric field. High density sowing at a spacing of 5 cm x 10 cm may also be done. Colocassia Cucurbits (Watermelon, pumpkin, bitter gourd, etc.) Chilli Leaf spot/ Leaf blight Vegetative/harvest Seed Collection/Harvest Apply Mancozeb @ 2 gm/ltr water at 7 days or Ridomil MZ -72 w.p. @ 2gm/ltr water 14 days interval at least twice. Avoid the fruits to touch the ground by staking or with the support of dried twigs. Seed collection should be done preferably on bright sunshine hours. After harvesting of matured ones spray Copper oxichloride(0.3% or Mancozeb alternatively with Metalxyl and Mancozeb combination at 15 days interval. Cow pea Harvesting As keeping quality is poor green ones should be harvested at the tender stage.
