People were mainly familiar with harvest guides for wine but for hops? Well, actually, why not? After all, each variety of hop is also unique. As a natural product, the hop is dependent on the climate, the location, the soil and many other factors. These factors naturally affect the aromas and flavour intensity, too. Therefore, starting with the 0 hop harvest, our hop experts began describing the of the hop varieties from the respective crop year. The Hop Harvest Guide provides further proof that the BARTH-HAAS GROUP is the world s top provider of hop-related services. In this connection I would also like to draw your attention to the Hop Compendium and the brand new HOPSESSED module offered by the HOPS ACADEMY. HOPSESSED includes an intensive interactive aroma training course. CREAM CARAMEL WOODY AROMATIC MENTHOL Butter, chocolate, yoghurt, honey, cream,, toffee, coffee, tonka bean, vanilla Tobacco, cognac, barrique, leather, woodruff, incense, myrrh, resin, cedar, pine, earth Mint, balm, camphor, menthol, wine yeast For this, the third Hop Harvest Guide, hop varieties were assessed of them from, five each from the USA, Slovenia, the UK and Australia, three from the Czech Republic and one from France. The Hop Harvest Guide is intended to help creative brewers to decide how and in what beer styles they would like to use the 0 hop crop. We wish you every success with the wonderful beers you make using hops from crop year 0 and, above all, lots of delighted customers! Stephan J. Barth
