We will be learning how to read and understand food labels to help you make healthier choices. After 20 years of the nutrition label remaining the same, the new FDA label will have a separate line to show how much sugar has been added to each food, a change in serving size declaration, and new mandatory nutrients. Manufacturers have until Jan 1, 2020, to comply with the new labeling requirements. We see changes to the food label are coming, but how does the change affect consumers?
