The HARRIES family has more than 100 years of milling experience. Since our reconstruction in 2017 we have a new focus on hygiene, flexibility, and using the most modern equipment available. By combining modern milling techniques and classic production equipment and processes we have been able to extend our product variety. As a result, the HARRIES mill has created a reputation of first class quality, high level customer orientation, trust, and flexibility. With the help of our employees' milling knowledge, the Harries mill processes oats, barley, wheat, rye, and spelt into high quality flakes and grains. A Long History 1885 Birth of the founder Bernhard Harries in Thedinghausen. 1912 Harries mill is founded. 1945 The mill at the Moordeich train station is built. 1958 The founder dies and his son Heinrich Harries takes over. The silo is built and the homestead is renovated. 1960 New construction and extension of the Oat mill. 1964 Addition of another silo to take in semi-finished goods, and the beginning of the use of modern packaging machines. As a result of additional investments, the mill develops into a modern factory for nutritions, peeling, and specialty milling. 1980er - 1990er Addition of a storage hall for finished products, an office with social rooms, a boiler house, and a workshop. In1984 the leadership of the company moves to the 3rd generation and is in the hands of the brothers Bernd and Heinz-Dieter Harries. 2005 Implementation of the new sack-filling machine. 2007 Florian Harries steps in as the 4th generation of leadership. 2012 Harries Mill celebrates its 100 year anniversary. 2015 The founding of Harries Schälmühlenwerk GmbH & Co.KG and the beginning of new mill construction in Gross Ippener. 2017 Operation begins at the new mill in Gross Ippener. www.harries-muehle.de
