Keeping your visitors satisfied with great food is a must, and we ve got plenty of solutions to make sure everyone s well fed throughout the day. From coffee carts to food trucks, pop-up food stalls are a fun and easy way to amplify your event and delight your hungry customers. For food that caters for high volume on demand, we have plenty of kiosks situated around our venue, and we ll happily tailor menus to complement your event. And with permanent cafes and a bar right here onsite (opening July 2018), you can feel confident all your guests needs are met under one roof.

We regularly visit farmers and producers across Victoria to source our meat, fruit and vegetables, supporting the growth of small businesses and decreasing our food miles. Our team of award-winning pastry chefs are in the kitchen baking pastries, cakes and muffins before the sun comes up. So no matter what treat you select you know it ll be fresh and delicious. Our professional baristas pour over 500,000 coffees a year. The best part? Every coffee is enjoyed from a biodegradable cup, which means you re caring for the environment while you caffeinate. We have long-standing relationships with Launch Housing and OzHarvest, and donate any surplus food to those in need.

EXHIBITORS DELIVERING FOOD DIRECTLY TO YOUR STAND. When you ve got your own stand or stall, you can t afford to waste time away from your post. That s why we ve introduced Skip an app that lets your exhibitors order and securely pay for their food and drinks online from our range of on-site cafes. Exhibitors can simply download the app and select the time they d like their lunch or food delivered. To allow your exhibitors to get food directly delivered to their stand, contact retail@mcec.com.au one month prior to your event. IMPORTANT INFORMATION If you have an idea for your event that we haven t already covered, our chefs will happily work with you to bring your vision to life. PROPOSAL CONFIRMATION We require final approval on concept and menu proposal to be provided 14 working days prior to the event start date for ordering purposes. After this time, adjustments can be made subject to availability and additional charges may occur. SPECIAL DIETARY REQUIREMENTS If you or your guests have any special requirements, we will be delighted to work with you to create your ideal menu. Any special dietary requirements are available on request with prior notice. MINIMUM POP-UP REQUIREMENTS / Direct access to 3 phase, 10-amp power and data communication for the POS system. / 3m x 4m space on a floor that is not raised. / 1.5m at the front of the outlet for queueing. / Tables and seating area. MINIMUM SPEND REQUIREMENTS CANCELLATION If you need to cancel your outlets with us, we require a written notification. Our full Cancellation Policy can be found in our Terms and Conditions, available on request from your Event Planner. We will generally operate at least one outlet for your event with no minimum spend; however, MCEC must be confident of covering operating costs. Pop-ups outlets may be substituted for the fixed kiosk outlets, but this is determined on an event by event basis. A minimum spend may apply if you request additional outlets, a highly specialised menu or extended operation hours. Minimum spend requirements are based on a four-consecutive-hour period (minimum shift per staff by law). This cost to operate the outlet includes labour for set-ups and service, food and beverage costs, infrastructure, equipment and utilities.
