What a great evening to learn about the area while taking in the sunset! Captain Amber Kuehn, Bluffton native with a MS in Marine Biology, will pick up Members and guests at the Moss Creek marina. The trip will be leaving from the Bluffton Oyster Factory. This is a two hour trip and is a great time for beginners or those who are experienced. We have double and single kayaks, as well as paddle boards. The cost is $30 for adults, $20 ages 11 and under, and $10 if you bring your own boat. Thursday, July 7, 2016 Coastal Shadowbox Craft with Brenda Spalding from Creative Touch by Bren 2:30 4:30pm at the Clubhouse Bring a copy of your favorite picture on the beach along with some sand and shells you may have collected from your visit. Don't worry, if you don't have sand or shells you can use some from our locally sourced collection. We'll also provide a 5x7 inch barnwood shadow box frame, a matte board frame and decorative paper to create a coastal sentimental piece. The cost of this class is $25, and that cost includes all necessary supplies. As always, feel welcome to bring your own favorite options. A Day at the Beach with the Coastal Discovery Museum (EVERYONE WELCOME) 6:00 7:00pm Bostwick Explore the beach without actually going to the beach. Discover the wide variety of fascinating critters that you can find on the beach. Learn about the unique critters that live in those beautiful shells you find. Investigate the lives of beach visitors like sea turtle and horseshoe crabs. Discuss the importance of the beach habitat and how you can protect our local beaches. The cost is $3 per person. Dinner for each camper is included in the camp fee. Adult dinner fee is $18 inclusive and the fee for additional juniors ages 6-18 is $10 for dinner. All additional dinner fees are billed to sponsoring Member.
