starters Here is a sample menu of starter choices for functions or events our chefs can produce. Cream of tomato soup topped with a basil créme fraiche. (v) Traditional Welsh lamb and leek cawl served with a wedge of Teifi cheese. Smoked salmon and prawn pillow served on a watercress salad with beetroot and horseradish ice-cream. Smooth chicken liver and whisky pate with fruit chutney and toasted brioche bread. Crispy bacon and black pudding salad with toasted walnuts and mozzarella topped with a French vinaigrette. Pork and leek scotch egg with apple pureé. Garlic mushrooms served on toasted ciabatta with a balsamic reduction. (v) page 6

main meal Here is a sample menu of main meal choices for functions or events freshly produced by our team of chefs. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Breast of chicken, ham and Welsh cheese roulade served with fondant potato, parcel of root vegetables with a bacon, mushroom and thyme cream sauce. Mediterranean vegetable Wellington served with roasted red pepper and sundried tomato sauce. (v) Slow roasted beef with a wholegrain mustard crust, Yorkshire pudding, rich gravy, seasonal vegetables and potatoes, with a creamed horseradish sauce. Slow braised shoulder of lamb wrapped in cured ham, topped with a Welsh rarebit crust, dauphinoise potatoes, seasonal vegetable parcel and an elderberry jus. Pulled pork and apple roulade with Welsh cider on a butternut squash and potato gratin, with a honey glazed carrot and thyme jus. Sweet potato and roasted Mediterranean vegetable filo strudel on a tomato and basil compote. (v) page 7

desserts Here is a sample menu of dessert choices for functions or events freshly prepared by our team of chefs. All dietary requirements can be catered for. Homemade profiteroles filled with fresh cream served with a warm, rich Belgian chocolate sauce or a buttery toffee sauce. Chocolate and orange bread and butter pudding with a Merlyn liquer custard. Homemade brandy apple tart served with a choice of locally made vanilla ice-cream or custard. Chocolate trio: Salted caramel chocolate torte, dark chocolate sorbet, After Eight cheesecake. Fruit trio: Raspberry pavlova, strawberry shortcake, lemon and lime posset. Belgian chocolate and hazelnut torte with a vanilla and Welsh whisky cream. Fruits of the forest cheesecake with a mandarin and almond coulis. Local Carmarthenshire cheese selection served with fruit, chutney and biscuits. Coffee and homemade petit fours. page 8

afternoon tea Afternoon Tea is an ideal way to celebrate a birthday, special occasion or just a catch up with friends. Afternoon tea is served daily from 2pm - 6pm. Afternoon Tea includes: A selection of freshly prepared, homemade finger sandwiches with a variety of fillings. A selection of delicious cakes including scones with jam and clotted cream. sunday lunch Every Sunday join us for a mouthwatering Sunday lunch carvery with freshly prepared vegetables. A selection of delcious starters and desserts are also available. Sunday lunch is served every Sunday from 12pm- 2pm. Booking in advance is essential. Carvery selection changes weekly, please enquire when booking. Ideal for special occasions such as, Mother s Day, Father s Day, Easter or birthdays. Choice of two or three courses. Served within the Alexander Suite, Samphires Restaurant or Bryn-y-Mor Suite. luxury rooms Stradey Park Hotel & Spa is a luxury four star hotel and award winning Parc Spa situated 5 minutes from Llanelli town centre. The hotel has 77 bedrooms all of which include flatscreen televisions, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wifi, telephones and hairdryers. Ample free parking is also available. Disability friendly. The hotel offers a range of rooms including, single, double and triple rooms, family rooms, adapted rooms, peaceful spa rooms and a luxury suite. FAQ s I m organising a charity event, do I get any discounts? We offer free room hire for charity events, and an events co-ordinator to work with you to create a menu within your budget. Registered charities only. No deposit is required for charity events. Can we bring our own drink/do you offer corkage? We don t offer corkage and alcohol must be purchased on the premises. What do I need to do to book an event? We can provisionally hold a date for 14 days but the hotel reserves the right to release that date until confirmed with a deposit. Full payment is required one week before the event including final numbers and menus. Can we bring cake in? You may bring in cake for a special occasion, we will be happy to provide you with a cake stand and knife. What time can we have entertainment until? In the Alexander Suite you can have live music until midnight and playback (DJ) until 1am. In Samphires you can have playback until midnight. Is it possible to arrange a viewing? You are more than welcome to come in and see the facilities, speak to one of our event coordinators and chefs regarding menu should you wish to do so. We have booked an act, is there a changing area? Yes, a changing area will be provided for your entertainment free of charge. Would we be able to sample the wine before the event? Yes, a wine tasting session can be arranged prior to your event. Would you be able to store items for us after the event? We can store items but they must be collected within the time frame allocated by your event organiser. Items are left at the owners risk, the hotel cannot accept responsibility for any damage sustained. Will my party be entitled to a discount on accommodation? Any party booking a function or event at the hotel will receive our preferential rates, please speak to your event coordinator for our current preferential rate. Can we set up a tab? You can set up a tab on presentation of your credit card details. Will we be able to have a fireworks display? Unfortunately due to health and safety issues we cannot host firework displays unless you obtain a permit from Carmarthenshire County Council. Can I courier a package to the hotel before my event? Yes, you can send packages related to your event and we will hold them for you until collection. Can we hire third party companies into the hotel? Yes, we are happy to work with other companies such as chair covers, entertainment, and room decorators. Entertainers must have PLI (Public Liability Insurance) and will be asked to present this before set up. We do not allow outside catering companies. We have a resident DJ and we are happy to recommend local suppliers to suit your event. Will there be enough parking spaces? We have ample car parking spaces including three disabled spaces in the top car park which can be reserved upon request. Our car park is free of charge. Do you cater for celiacs, vegetarians and vegans? We cater for all of the above, we also try and cater for any other intolerences or preferences. We would ask for 24 hours notice before your event to ensure we have the necessary ingredients. page 18
