SAINT JANE S 2019 CUP STACKING CLUB Dear Parents: The students have participated in cup stacking in Physical Education class. The Cup Stacking Club for students in grades 1 to 8 (plus kindergarten students who have an older sibling in Cup Club are welcome) will focus on the next level, which is competition. (Or just to learn and have fun) The Club will meet from 2:00 to 3:00 in the GYM on the following TUESDAYS: January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12, 19, 26, March 5, 12, (Dates can change) First time club members should not miss because of the learning progressions. Students can borrow the PE cups until they purchase their own. Students must have: 1. Their own cups. THIS IS MANDATORY. NEED TO PRACTICE AT HOME 2. A ride home at 3:00 (please be prompt) Students will be sent to aftercare if they have not been picked up by 3:15 and parents will be billed for aftercare including the registration fee if they are not already enrolled) 3. A mat and timer for practice. Need to be able to stack in a specific area. 4. The desire to learn the cup stacking rules, the correct patterns and to practice them. 5. The goal is competing in the cup stacking tournament on MARCH 23 rd at Palisades Middle School in Kintnersville, Pa. (tournament director Mr. McGarvey) 6. Any parent who would be interested in being a judge at the tournament please let me know. 7. Return bottom portion to Mr. McGarvey by December 21, 2018 or ASAP 8. Any student who does not behave appropriately during Cup Club will be dismissed from the club. ADULT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AS Greeters stationed at the host stand to help with check-in process and taking tickets Kitchen help in the kitchen area to assemble plates and monitor beverages Supervisors check on guests at tables and meet any needs as they arise 7 TH OR 8 TH GRADE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AS Servers seat guests, drop off silverware, take drink orders, and serve plates of food Clean-up Crew clear tables and wipe them down after guests are finished Breakfast with Santa will take place on December 1, 2018 at Applebee s on 248 in Easton (3702 Easton- Nazareth Highway) from 8-10AM. Volunteers will need to arrive at 7:30AM for instructions from Applebee s staff.
