THE DUCK INN AT A GLANCE The Duck Inn is a neighborhood gastro-tavern and dining room located at Loomis Street and the Chicago River. Bordering Chicago s booming Pilsen and Bridgeport neighborhoods, it s housed in a pre-prohibition era tavern that has continuously operated for almost a century. The Duck Inn showcases Chef Kris Delee s signature New American cuisine. The extensive beverage program led by Executive Bar Director Brandon Phillips offers contemporary cocktails, craft beers and a creative wine service. Our menu combines playful bar snacks alongside traditional dishes to be enjoyed over multiple courses, or our Chef s tasting menus. The Duck Inn focuses on showcasing local, sustainable family farms and our menus always rotate with the seasons.

CHEF-PARTNER KRIS DELEE A native of Las Vegas, Chef Kris became Executive Chef at The Duck Inn in 2017. He s spent the last decade opening venues in L.A., Cincinnati, Austin and Chicago. With more than 15 years of culinary experience, Kris brings the inspiration of his travels, personal experiences and professional endeavors to his role and has created several new innovative menu items for the venue that reflect all these components of his interesting life and quirky personality. PARTNER BRANDON PHILLIPS In 2014, Brandon earned the title of Master Bartender at Chicago s renowned cocktail bar, The Drawing Room, catching the eye of industry professionals all over the country, including Chef Hickey. Soon after, Kevin and Brandon opend Bottlefork, heralded by Wine Spectator & GQ as having some of the most innovative cocktails in the city. Included in Zagat s prestigious annual 30 Under 30 roundup, Phillips was also named Bartender of the Year by The Chicago Tribune in 2016. CHEF-PATRON KEVIN HICKEY Kevin Hickey was born and raised in Chicago s iconic south-side neighborhood, Bridgeport. His culinary career spans 30 years, including the Four Seasons Hotel Group in BeverlyHills, Dublin, London, Atlanta, and two consecutive Michelin Stars in Chicago. The fourtime Michelin Bib-Gourmandwinning Duck Inn s name resurrects Kevin s Great- Grandmother s Depressionera lunch counter which was located just blocks away from the current establishment.
PRIVATE VENUE BUYOUT Private Up to 100 Guests Hosting a wide variety of events from corporate receptions to wedding and birthday parties, the venue is completely customizable to your needs. Buffets and seated familystyle menus are just a few of the dining options we boast. In summer and fall we open the Backyard for tastings and other special events like wine dinners, pizza parties, and pig roasts. Private venue buyouts allow your guests to mingle in a space with a neighborhood atmosphere.
BAR & LOUNGE Semi-Private Up to 50 Guests Quaint yet modern, the Bar & Lounge can be as formal or informal as your event. Serving up custom specialty cocktails and passed bar snacks & appetizers, the room transforms into a lively space. The Banquette provides seating so larger groups can feel relaxed and have a seated family-style meal.
MAIN DINING ROOM Semi-Private Seated up to 20 Private Seated up to 50 Guests Private Reception up to 70 Guests Dine in our cozy Main Dining Room for a more formal sit-down style event. With choices like reception style buffets, seated family-style dining and more, this room provides a traditional party atmosphere. Wine, beer and cocktail pairings are available with cuisine packages for an elegant event.
BACKYARD Private Seated up to 60 Guests Private Reception up to 100 Guests Step out into the Backyard and be met by greenery and a full garden. The space is large enough to fit numerous guests while still retaining the ability to make your event feel intimate. Dine al fresco with a variety of menu packages including pig roasts, salmon bakes, BBQ grill outs and pizza parties with our custom wood-burning oven or enjoy a delicious drink at the outdoor bar.
WEDDING AND REHEARSAL DINNERS In summer or early fall, the Backyard makes a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
