Formal Bowtie Pasta Spicy with Chicken Sausage Soup and a Green Salad with Fresh Home Bakery Made Dinner Vinaigrette Rolls (for 4) 2) 1 2 Dice 1/2 of onion. Dice chicken breasts into small 1/2 inch cubes. Heat 3/4 Tbs. olive oil over medium to medium-high heat in a large stock pot that has a lid. Add onion, 1 1/4 tsp. freeze dried minced garlic and diced chicken into heated oil. Sear until chicken is cooked through. (approx. 10 min) Once chicken is fully cooked remove mixture from the pan and set aside. Keep warm by covering with foil. Pour 1/2 cup of water into the pan the chicken was in. Turn burner to High. Use the water to deglaze the pan, removing any stuck on and caramelized bits of chicken, garlic and onion. 3 4 Once finished deglazing the pan the water should be caramel colored with little bits of flavor in it. Once it is boiling add 1/4 cup white rice and 1/4 tsp salt. Stir and cover with lid and reduce heat to a low simmer for 20 minutes to cook rice. 5 6 When rice is done cooking, add all other ingredients; cooked chicken mix, 1/4 cup water, chicken broth, salsa, cilantro, corn, diced tomatoes, 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1/2 tsp. salt, and chili powder to your family s taste.
