Oakfield Umbria is located in the Niccone Valley between the Tuscan border and Lake Trasimeno. The Italian courses are held in a typical farmhouse surrounded by hills, olive groves and of course oak trees. Umbria has no coastline, no large cities, and a total population of less than a million. It is often called the Tuscany without tourists because of its beautiful countryside, unique hills towns and villages that have yet to be discovered by the many tourists you encounter in Tuscany.
In this wonderful setting, you will be immersed in a Learning Journey for up to 10 hours per day, dealing with your specific language needs while at the same time enjoying a 100% language experience, from reading the daily news over breakfast to watching
TV and films together, chatting over tea or coffee in the garden during the afternoon to relaxing by the pool with a glass of wine before dinner, visiting some of the beautiful small hill towns of Umbria and tasting some of its magnificent local cuisine.
WHICH LEARNING JOURNEY SUITS YOU? There are three kinds of Learning Journeys which can be personalised as required. PERSONAL COACHING A one to one Learning Journey that starts with a clear defintion of the goals you wish to achieve during your stay. These courses are 100% personalised and can be adapted to any changing needs throughout the course, giving you the space and time to develop your language skills as well as enjoy being in the truly relaxing environment of Oakfield Umbria. GROUP IMMERSION In small groups of 2-6 people we will take you on a Learning Journey together! Come with a group of people from your company or even a group of friends and we will create a Learning Journey based on your needs and interests while you enjoy yourselves and have fun using Italian at Oakfield Umbria. FAMILY PACK Come to Oakfield Umbria for a real family Learning Journey experience. Spend half the day learning Italian together, then spend the afternoons exploring this beautiful region. ACCOMMODATION / DOVE DORMIRE 2 people / couples can be accommodated at the house each with a double bedroom and en suite bathroom. The rate for staying at the house is 50 euros per room per night for single accommodation and 70 euros per room per night for double accommodation. For larger groups and families we can organise accommodation at the same rate just a 10-minute walk away at the Pian di Marte Ospitalità Rurale. www.piandimarte.it There are plenty of other accommodation options available in the vicinity of Oakfield to suit all tastes and budgets. Feel free to make your own arrangements if you prefer. GETTING AROUND / COME ARRIVARE The nearest airports are Perugia and Florence. You can also fly-drive from Pisa, Rome, Ancona, Bologna...We recommend that you hire a car to travel to Pian di Marte. In this way you will also have the opportunity to visit other places in Umbria: hilltop villages, small towns, lake Trasimeno and more. For those travelling by train, we can pick you up from Passignano sul Trasimeno or Terontola train stations on Sunday afternoon and take you back on Friday afternoon.

ABOUT US / CHI SIAMO Ciao! Siamo Emma ed Ezio! We met in Bergamo, where Ezio comes from and Emma was working as a Business English Trainer and Director of Studies. Since 2006 we have been living in Barcelona but always spend the summer months and any other holidays at Campo delle Querce (Oakfield), Umbria. Emma continues working in the field of language training. Ezio is a photograher and graphic designer. Emma is the main trainer for all courses at Oakfield. Ezio offers interesting cultural notes whilst visiting different places of interest, prepares the delicious meals and joins in all mealtime conversations. We share a love of good food and good wine and look forward to sharing our Italian home with you. A presto!
