CHAPTER 7 EDIBLE VEGETABLES AND CERTAIN ROOTS AND TUBERS Notes 1. This chapter does not cover forage products heading 1214. 2. In headings 0709 to 0712, the word vegetables includes edible mushrooms, truffles, olives, capers, marrows, pump kins, aubergines, sweetcorn (Zea mays var. saccharata), fruits the genus Capsicum or the genus Pimenta, fennel, parsley, chervil, tarragon, cress and sweet marjoram (Majorana hortensis or Origanum majorana). 3. Heading 0712 covers all dried vegetables the kinds falling in headings 0701 to 0711, other than: (a) dried leguminous vegetables, shelled (heading 0713); (b) sweetcorn in the forms specified in headings 1102 to 1104; (c) flour, meal, powder, flakes, granules and pellets potatoes (headi ng 1105); (d) flour, meal and powder the dried leguminous vegetables heading 0713 (heading 1106). 4. However, dried or crushed or ground fruits the genus Capsicum or the genus Pimenta are excluded from this chapter (heading 0904). Additional note (TARIK) 1. For the purpose classifying goods in the appropriate headings for seeds or for sets onions and for the purpose collecting import duties and V.A.T., goods shall be considered a seed or a set onions falling within TARIK-codes 0701 1000 00 and 0703 1011 00, provided that the required Phytosanitary Certificate (See Annex 6) is specifying that the goods are actually seeds or are sets onions. 1
