At first, the company had 1 employee but, thanpcs to the escalating demand for its cakes, this number began to increase rapidly. Thanpcs to this fundamental expansion of production capacity, they also began manufacturing other honey products using Old Armenian recipes. MARLENKA products are progressively expanding beyond the borders of the Czech Republic, and are currently exported to over 35 countries around the world. In May of 2013, immediately following the 10 th birthday of the MARLENKA brand, construction of another production facility measuring 3500m 2 started. The production has begun to use new automatized lines since December. The amount invested in this project will reach 230M CZK. Coffee MARLENKA Café is 100% Arabica, and made only from the finest coffee beans, grown in ideal climatic and geographic conditions in Brazil and Guatemala. Thanpcs to the weather, altitude, soil type and soil richness Arabica beans contain more of the substances that make coffee so complexly flavourful. Gourmet coffees are almost exclusively made from high - quality, mild varieties of Arabica beans. If you enjoy our honey cakes MARLENKA, you will love our new Arabica coffee MARLENKA Café. 300 years ago an Armenian Deodat arrived in Prague and founded the first Armenian coffee lounge, which is even mentioned in Rieger encyclopedia (1862, 2nd edition): Prague's first café keeper, born in Damascus, to parents of Armenian - Christian faith, initially walked the streets of Prague clad in Arabian, i.e. Turkish, vesture, holding a plank with a mug of boiled coffee on his head and carrying a pan with hot coal in the right hand and a box containing several buttons and some fine-grained sugar in the left hand. He was so good at selling, that he soon earned a burgess-ship and rented a spacious shop in the Old Town. He converted the said shop into Prague's first bona-fide café, at the corner of Liliová and Jesuitská streets, at No. 181 (called "u Kornovů ", or "The Golden Snake's")".. Continuing in our tradition, we now introduce our new coffee MARLENKA CAFÉ. Ingredients: 100% ARABICA (Brazil & Guatemala coffee) min.
