4 Student Work Spotlight P A G E 4 Marketing and Communications Each week the Campus Voice will spotlight different areas of student labor on campus. This week we are honoring the work that the students do in Marketing and Communications. These hard working students help maintain the beauty of our campus and are greatly appreciated! 4
5 Student Work Spotlight P A G E 5 Marketing and Communications Do you do anything besides take photos? To say that we get this question a lot is an understatement. The answer? Yes, we do more than take photos. We implement the photos we capture by marketing them through our website and three Facebook accounts, as well as using them in advertisements and commercials. We also write articles about our current students, faculty, staff and alumni, highlighting their accomplishments whether in the classroom, at a sport, or in the community. The campus radio station also falls into our purview. We create playlists, record commercials, and broadcast alethic events, public service announcements, and student and coach liners. One of our biggest events is Appalachia Day Homecoming which, in conjunction with other offices on campus, we plan, market and coordinated. In addition to these things, we create marketing material in the form of travel brochures, posters, flyers, billboards, and videos. Those who tirelessly work to make all this happen include: Morgan Albury, Lydia Bickham, Destiny Caldwell, Parker Pauley, Savannah Reynolds, Natalie Romeo, Elizabeth Rumschlag, and Kala Thornsbury.
