OVERVIEW The Lamberti winery, established in 1964, is named after one of the oldest noble families of Verona: the Lamberti, the ancient Lords of Verona who fought to gain control of the city from the powerful Della Scala family. For over 50 years, Lamberti wines have expressed the beautiful features of Lake Garda, Lazise, where the best Bardolino Classico wine is produced. Lamberti s first premise, built in 1964, was situated opposite the castle walls of Lazise. The Tenuta Preella (name of the winery), which has belonged to the Lamberti winery since 1968, has been Lamberti s home ever since. Vine-growing has been an integral part of the landscape since ancient pre-roman times and it is here in the heart of the Bardolino Classico area, that all of Lamberti s winemaking activities are carried out. 2
ESTATE The Lamberti winery is the pride of the ancient Tenuta Preela, a vineyard covering 27 hectares in the heart of the Bardolino Classico area, surrounded by the amazing scenery of Lake Garda. Due to the special mineral composition of the morainic land, created due to erosion by ancient glaciers, the Lamberti vineyards are able to give our wines unmistakable organoleptic properties. In fact, the happy combination of a temperate climate and the mineral characteristics of the soil has always allowed the vines to produce the finest unique grapes. 3 The estate comprises 3 areas: the vineyards, the farmhouse and the winemaking facilities. Today, this modern pressing cellar is the pride of the estate and has the best stateof-the-art machinery in the winemaking field, with a total capacity of about 4,000 hectolitres. However, the heart of the estate remains the farmhouse with evidence of this ancient dwelling dating back to the mid-1500s. Today, this historical building has been transformed into the Casa della Lamberti, an exquisite tasting room and a small barrel cellar.

The best wines from Valpolicella actually both Bardolino and Valpolicella are not much better. At its best come in the form of wines produced from dried grapes. Soave is truly one of Italy s greatest white wines but far too they are fermented into very potent, dry wines with awesome weight and concentration. There is also a middle ground known as Valpolicella Ripasso where standard Valpolicella is refermented on the left over grape skins from Amarone production. This gives it more weight and alcoholic strength, a baby Amarone if you like.

Following the success of the merlot grape worldwide we have also amended our vinification approach; well ripened grapes are vinified with a long maceration of the skins in the must; fermentation then takes place slowly, at a relatively low temperature, to protect the varietal aromas. This approach provides a rounder, softer but still full-bodied wine. This Merlot is then finished with malolactic fermentation and with some of the wine matured in barriques.
