Walden West Family amp Facility Rules General Rules Respect all Walden West property, including trails. All trash and messes must be cleaned. Please do not light any fires including candles, incense, and fireworks. hildren and teens under 18 must be supervised by an adult (21+) at all times, including breaks and recess. Please let a staff member know immediately if there are any maintenance or facilities issues so that they can be fixed in a timely fashion. If you plan to leave the Walden West campus for any reason, please sign out with a staff member. In an emergency, alert a staff member immediately. DO not pull the fire alarm or discharge the fire extinguishers. Walden West relies on an extremely limited supply of water. Please keep showers short and be sure that faucets are off. Quiet Hours are from 11pm to 7am. Please respect our neighbors. No pets are allowed. On-duty service animals are permitted. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Dining Hall Please do not enter the kitchen. Do not remove any items from the dining hall including chairs and dinnerware. Food and drinks are not permitted in carpeted areas, with the exception of plain water. No sports or ball games are permitted indoors. Please ask permission before using the piano. Lodgings Outdoors Please do not store food inside tents and cabins. Keep all food in a bin with a tight-fitting lid in your vehicle or with the Walden West staff. Keep cabin doors closed when not occupied. All tents, luggage and belongings must be removed by the designated check-out time on departure day. abins and sleeping areas must be clean. There is no A/ in the cabins; please use the windows to improve ventilation. In the Bobcats, Newts, Turtles and Scrub Jays cabins, slide the top sash down. Do not leave food unattended. Abandoned food attracts birds and other pests Please be respectful of the landscaping and do not dig unnecessary holes. Do not enter the pool without an approved lifeguard. There is a fine for unauthorized entry. Ticks are present this time of year. If you find a tick attached to you, please see a Walden West staff member for proper removal. Ticks will be sent to a lab for testing. If you see a snake, leave it alone and alert a Walden West staff member.
