Paragraph of the Decision to Suspend Minimum Prices of 3 May (DPC/PTL/) requires participants to submit information on the quantity and value of their exports of butter and anhydrous milk fat every two months. For the period MayJune the Secretariat received notifications from eleven participants; for JulyAugust, notifications from eight participants were received, and, for the period, six participants submitted notifications. 2. The first section of this paper summarizes the information received regarding the two most recent months ( and ). After that follows an overview covering all information received from participants to date. SEPTEMBER OCTOBER 3. The summary tables below are based on reported export volumes from four notifications (out of six received). One participant declared zero exports of butter and AMF while another notification was incomplete. Butter. reported export volumes of butter amounted to 37,8 for the period. Except for 27 tons, for which destinations and price information was lacking, the tables below are based on this volume. The bulk of the butter was exported to, and the former USSR. The price range varied considerably from a low of US$,75 per ton f.o.b. to a high of US$5,3 per ton. The weighted average export price for both months was US$,558 per ton. In, the weighted average price was US$, per ton, almost US$3 higher than in.

In addition to the four notifications highlighted above, nine of the eleven notifications received for the period MayJune, and six of the notifications received for the period JulyAugust, are the basis for the following summary tables. While the calculated average export price from MayAugust is based on small export quantities, these volumes are more substantial in the period. Notable is that the average reported export price of AMF during the last two months was about US$,538 per ton f.o.b., a level just under that for butter during the same period.
