The suggested donation is $1.85 per meal. Guests under 60 shall pay $3.00 per meal. This program is funded in part through Title III of the Older Americans Act as amended by the County of Los Angeles Area Agency on Aging. All meals are served with milk, bread and margarine. Knott s Berry Farm Pathways to the Past Tour and lunch at Mrs. Knott s Chicken Restaurant Thursday, Nov 19 Fee: $28.00 Leave: 9:00 a.m. Return: 3:30 p.m. Today, we enjoy a Pathways to the Past tour at Knott s Berry Farm in Buena Park. We will arrive at 10:00 am and start our 2 hour guided tour (included) at the Ghost Town. Points of interest will also include the Blacksmith, the School House, take a train ride, enjoy some Indian storytelling at the Mystery Lodge and more! Lunch will follow after your tour at the famous Mrs. Knott s Chicken Restaurant. Enjoy some fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, a green salad, biscuits, a soft drink and pie for dessert. There will be plenty of time for browsing in the country stores before getting back on the bus. Wine Tailor, Antonino s Italian Restaurant and Viewing of the Alta Loma Holiday Lights Tuesday, Dec 15 Fee: $46.00 Leave: 3:00 p.m. Return: 9:00 p.m. At 3:45 pm we will check in for our tour (included) with The Wine Tailor in Rancho Cucamonga. Half of our group will be taken to the restaurant first for dinner and then their tour and wine bottling will follow after. You will have the opportunity to bottle and label your own wine to take home. Dinner (included) will be at Antonio s Italian Restaurant. You will have a choice of a pasta entrée or chicken served with a green salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage. She comes to our center with a good attitude and a friendly disposition. She helps set up the water and pitchers in the morning and makes sure there s enough for the lunch crowd as well. Other times she s wrapping utensils, mopping up spills, and making sure everyone she sees gets a hello. Eva is a very proud mother and grandmother and you can tell she loves them and they love her dearly as well. Thanks, Eva, for all the things you do that mean so much! JULY VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Ruth has served our center for many years in the kitchen and now serves us in other ways. She continues to serve us by wrapping utensils, keeping watch on the water, and being available where she is needed. Ruth is a serious worker and takes pride in everything she does. She enjoys coming in twice a week to help, mingle with her friends and enjoy herself here. She was born and raised in Azusa along with her brother and sisters. Ruth loves it here and we love her!
