Eva is a very proud mother and grandmother and you can tell she loves them and they love her dearly as well. Thanks, Eva, for all the things you do that mean so much! JULY VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH Ruth has served our center for many years in the kitchen and now serves us in other ways. She continues to serve us by wrapping utensils, keeping watch on the water, and being available where she is needed. Ruth is a serious worker and takes pride in everything she does. Brunch at Las Brisas, Sherman Library & Roger s Garden Wednesday, Jul 29 Fee: $32.00 Leave: 7:30 a.m. Return: 3:00 p.m. This morning we arrive to beautiful Laguna Beach for a brunch style breakfast (included) at Las Brisas. Enjoy made-to-order omelettes, fruit, bacon, potatoes, pastries & more! After our meal we ll get back on the bus and drive to Newport Beach for a selfguided tour (admission included) at the Sherman Oaks Library & Gardens. This 2.2 acre cultural center has a research library specializing in the history of the Pacific Southwest, and botanical gardens. Lastly, we will make one more stop in Corona Del Mar at Rogers Gardens for shopping and browsing on your own before returning home. This home began as a 6 room cabin and soon became a 31 room ranch home consisting of stable corrals, a riding ring, a hiking trail and a golf course and much more. There will be time for browsing before heading to the Paradise Cove restaurant for lunch. You ll have your choice of: blackened chicken breast or fish sandwich, a hamburger served with cole slaw and fries with a non-alcoholic beverage.
