The Wasabi Group Event Information Thank you for your enquiry regarding your upcoming group booking. We are pleased to provide you with the following information. The Wasabi Group encompasses three venues, Wasabi Restaurant and Bar, Ibento Private Dining and The Cooking School Noosa, giving our clients a variety of different event options to select from. In consideration of our other diners, we have identified areas within each venue that are appropriate for different group sizes. Groups of 7 guests can comfortably sit in the western dining area of the restaurant amongst other diners and dine on our regular menu. Credit card details are required to secure the reservation. Groups of 8 and over are asked to exclusively reserve either our Traditional Tatami Room or Ibento Private Dining. Traditional Tatami Room In Wasabi's Traditional Tatami room guests are seated on the floor. The floor is raised, with wells under the table, so you are not seated cross legged. Each guest has an individual chair and cushion for back support. We ask that guests remove their shoes before entering Tatami. We are able to put up Japanese paper screens to give your guests some added privacy from other diners. Please note that whilst this creates a visual separation, noise can still travel, so in consideration of other diners we must ask that there be no speeches at the table. Groups of 8-21 guests are asked to reserve the Tatami exclusively. There is no room hire fee involved. We do however require a minimum spend of $2500. Ibento Private Dining Launched in late 2016, guests now have the option of dining at Wasabi's new private dining room Ibento. Boasting both inside and outside areas, Ibento has a capacity to sit a maximum of 16 guests. Guests will enjoy exclusive use of the entire venue with one of Wasabi's senior chefs, cooking and plating your meals right in front of you at a real chef's table style event. You will have a senior Wasabi waiter dedicated to your event for the entire evening. Ibento is located in the same complex as Wasabi Restaurant, less than a minutes' walk away. We ask that groups reserve Ibento exclusively. There is no room hire charge, instead we have a minimum spend of $2000 per event. Menu Options for Traditional Tatami Room & Ibento Private Dining Group bookings are asked to preselect a menu. We offer the choice of a 7 or 9 course omakase degustation and a 3 course kaiseki banquet style menu. Omakase (お任せ) Let the Chef decide Our Chefs will present a series of plates, beginning with the lightest and proceeding to heavier, richer dishes. Kaiseki 3 Course Menu The 3 Course Kaiseki Menu includes either a plated entree or a selection of canapés, a shared main meal, served banquet style down the middle of the table with side dishes and a plated dessert. 3 Course Kaiseki Sample Menu $135 per guest Course 1 ocean trout tataki with crispy ginger, radishes and ponzu dressing Course 2 orange kosho pepper marinated organic chicken hatchō miso marinated organic pork fillet bincho- tan charcoal grilled vegetables local greens with kanzanji miso onigiri, toasted rice Course 3 sake marinated strawberries with yuzu curd, mandarin dust and ice cream Dietaries: We are happy to cater to any dietary requirement proving we have advance notice. Beverages : Our sommelier would be happy to discuss your individual requirements to help ensure your wine selection complements the menu created for you by our chefs. We are able to offer beverages by consumption or as a package for the duration of the event. We are also able to offer beverage matches for each course. We have both wine only or mixed beverage options. We ask that you preselect your beverage options prior to the event. Tap water is provided for the table however if you wish to offer your guests still or sparkling water then it will be charged at $5.50 per head for an unlimited pour. Cake Service Fee : If a cake is provided by the event organizers, a fee of $6.00 per person will be charged for serving, plating and garnishing. Should you wish us to provide a cake please discuss your individual preferences with our events manager.
Terms and Conditions BYO Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and Ibento Boutique Event Space and The Cooking School Noosa are fully licensed venues and therefore BYO is not permitted. No beverages are permitted into the premises unless prior permission has been obtained. CATERING Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and Ibento Boutique Event Space and The Cooking School Noosa are food businesses. If you hire any of the venues without catering you are not permitted to bring any form of food into the premises. CHILDERN'S POLICY Children are welcome at Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and Ibento Event Space, however please note that we do not have a dedicated children s menu. We do not offer a reduction in either menu size or price. If a child is seated at the table they will be included in the size of the party and as such must dine on the same menu as the rest of the party. As alcohol is served with the meals at The Cooking School Noosa we require guests to be over 18 years of age. DEPOSITS A signed booking form for confirmation and a deposit of 50% of the total food cost is required within 14 days of making the booking or 7 days from the date of your event at Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and Ibento Boutique Event Space (whichever is sooner). Management reserves the right to cancel any reservations not held with a deposit by the required date. Full payment is required upon booking for any classes at The Cooking School Noosa. CANCELLATION Any cancellations must be made in writing to WASABI.EVENTS@HOTMAIL.COM For groups 10 people and under: Cancellations received more than 7 days prior to the function date will receive a full refund less $50 administration fee. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to the function will receive 75% of the deposit. Cancellations made less than 2 days prior to the function date will not be entitled to a refund. For groups greater than 10 people: Cancellations received more than 14 days prior to the function date will receive a full refund less $150 administration fee. Cancellations received less than 14 days prior to the function will receive 50% of the deposit. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the function date will not be entitled to a refund of the deposit. FINAL PAYMENT Payment of all outstanding amounts (including the liquor account) is to be made on the date of your function. Deposit payments are deducted from the final account paid at the conclusion of the function. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard and American Express, cash or Eftpos. Personal cheques are not accepted as final payment for the event. All prices quoted are inclusive of GST. We request that there is only one bill per function, and we are unable to split accounts. GUEST NUMBERS The guaranteed number of guests attending the function is required seven (7) days prior to the event for catering and staffing requirements. Catering will be provided for that guaranteed number of guests. We advise you not to underestimate your numbers or we may not be able to cater for large increases. The guaranteed number of guests will be charged, even if the numbers fall below the guaranteed amount. CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE A 1% surcharge will be added for all credit card transactions. SERVICE For tables of 8 or more guests your bill will include a recommended service charge of 6% of the total food and beverage component for the final account. This service charge is at your discretion. SPECIAL REQUESTS For catering purposes it is a requirement that you inform us of any allergies or special food requests a minimum of three days prior to your function. If you do not and there are changes made to the menu during your function you will be charged accordingly. INSURANCE/CLIENT RESPONSIBILITES Although all reasonable care will be taken, Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and Ibento Event Space and The Cooking School Noosa cannot accept any responsibility for property lost or damaged prior to, during or after the function. The client is expected to conduct their function in a legal and responsible manner and is responsible for the conduct of its guests and invitees. The client will be financially responsible for any loss or damage that occurs to the property, the venue, or its staff during their function.. Please note guests are required to remove their shoes when entering the tatami room at Wasabi Restaurant and Bar and to replace them upon leaving the tatami room. The client will be financially responsible for any damage caused to the tatami mats during their event. PRICES The above pricing is current at time of printing. Whilst every effort is made to maintain prices, they may be subject to alteration prior to your function. MUSIC We have a selection of music available or if you have booked a venue for exclusive use you may wish to provide your own personal music in MP3 format. Please be advised that there is to be no live amplified music used (ie no bands or DJ s) due to normal liquor licensing restrictions. We reserve the right to lower noise levels if it results in disturbing residents UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES Due to any unforeseen circumstances or accidents, Wasabi Restaurant and Bar, Ibento Event Space and The Cooking School Noosa reserves the right to cancel any booking and refund any deposit at any time. RESONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCHOHOL In accordance with the Responsible Service of Alcohol regulations, Wasabi Restaurant and Bar, Ibento Boutique Event Space and The Cooking School Noosa reserves the right to terminate a function, to discontinue service of all alcohol to any intoxicated person(s) without liability and to take responsible action in assisting any intoxicated person from the premises. Please nominate a responsible adult in your party to act as a contact person for any issues that may arise during your function. SMOKING Under accordance with Queensland Health and Hygiene laws smoking is not permitted within the restaurant and immediate surrounding areas. Guests will be directed to a designated smoking area. Guests will not be permitted to take alcohol beyond the licensed premises. FINISHING TIMES A minimum charge of $150 per hour will apply should your function extend past midnight. Lunch functions must finish at 4.30pm unless a prior arrangement has been made. Please be aware our liquor license is valid until midnight.
