LATE Even though it will be difficult to leave the sumptuous, soulful suite, do tear yourself away to join us for special spring beverages in the Lounge sourced from local ingredients. DAY 2 Saturday, March 31, 2018 Wake up and meet the day with a special little surprise just outside your door: our daybreak tray featuring tea, coffee, and warm pastries. 7 10 AM Breakfast is served in the Dining Room at your leisure. MORNING Meet your Community Host in the Lobby for your Island Orientation. Be prepared for fresh perspectives and insights, stories and laughter during your half-day outing discovering this salty Narnia by the people of the place, whose sense of self comes from deep historical ties to landscape and seascape. 12 2 PM Lunch is served back at Fogo Island Inn. Follow your fancy in the afternoon: rest up body and soul at the Inn beside a woodburning fireplace with a soothing cup of hot chocolate (or something stronger). Or opt for outdoor pursuits like hiking or birdwatching. 5:30 PM Step inside our state-of-the-art Cinema for a special screening. DAY 3 Sunday, April 1, 2018 handmade sausage, bread, baked goods, bacon and mustards. Enjoy your daybreak box from the comfort of your suite. Linger. 7 10 AM Breakfast is served in the Dining Room. MORNING The annual Easter Egg Hunt throughout the Inn s public spaces and the Island s windswept landscapes will have guests on the hop scouring every nook and cranny. Look out for other edible Easter surprises made possible only by the Easter Bunny. 12 2PM Dinner (lunch) is served in the Dining Room. Embrace the wind and sea by embarking on a hiking adventure along the coastline toward Joe Batt s Point. Walk past the solitary, off-the-grid Long Studio designed by architect Todd Saunders, which hovers on a series of stilts that lifts the structure above the ground to frame a spectacular view of the North Atlantic Ocean. Fogo Island brings out the walker in us, so allow time to carry on past the Long Studio along the coast to pay homage to the Great Auk a flightless bird that once lived on the nearby Funk Islands. DAY 4 Monday, April 2, 2018 Enjoy your departing daybreak. Linger. 7 10 AM Fortify yourself with a farewell breakfast served in the Dining Room and prepare for the journey home.
