Apple Cinnamon Muffins Apple Cinnamon Muffins are made brown butter and topped caramelized walnuts! They have a secret filling which makes them extra moist and delicious. Serves Prep time 0 min Baking time min apples For the filling: tbsp brown sugar / tsp cinnamon For the muffins: stick (/ cup) (g) butter / cup (0g) brown sugar tsp cinnamon / cups (90g) all-purpose flour and / tsp baking powder / tsp baking soda / cup (0g) chopped walnuts egg, large cup (g) yogurt For the topping: tbsp brown sugar / tsp cinnamon tbsp chopped walnuts tsp maple syrup To brown the butter, cut it into tablespoons and place it in a medium skillet over medium heat. Preheat the oven to 0 F ( C) and line a -count muffin pan muffin liners. Remove the core of all apples. For the filling, grate one apple and mix tbsp of brown sugar and / tsp cinnamon. Set aside. Cut the other apples into rings. (You will get more than rings, use the rings from the middle part of the apples) In a medium bowl, combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, / cup chopped nuts, tsp cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Set aside. In a large bowl add the egg and give it a whisk. Add a / cup brown sugar, brown butter, and yogurt. Mix until well combined. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture but only stir until just combined. Don't overmix! For the topping: In a small bowl combine tbsp walnuts, tbsp brown sugar, tsp maple syrup, and / tsp cinnamon. Fill / of the batter into the muffin cups. Divide the grated apple filling between the muffin cups and fill the cups up the remaining batter. 8 Place an apple ring on top of each muffin cup and divide the topping between all muffin cups. Bake for 0- minutes. Let the muffins rest in the form for minutes then transfer to a cooling rack.

Roll out the rest of the dough to make the upper crust. Add the apple chunks to the baking dish and cover the upper crust. Bake for 0 minutes until lightly browned. Serve still warm vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. The cake tastes best eaten on the same day.

Melt the butter in a small pan over low heat. Add the graham cracker crumbs, cinnamon, and tbsp sugar. Increase the temperature to a medium heat and toast the mixture for minute. Add half of the graham cracker crumbs mixture to the apple slices. Sprinkle flour on your work surface. Unfold the puff pastry sheet and roll the pastry sheet into a x -inch rectangle. With the long side facing you, spread the rest of the graham cracker crumb mixture evenly onto the middle third of the puff pastry sheet. Leave. inches of the side empty. Spoon the apple mixture onto the crumbs and fold the lower half over the apple mixture. Then fold over the top half and tuck it under to seal the roll. Also, tuck the ends under to seal. Brush the pastry the egg mixture and cut several slits in the top of the pastry. Transfer the apple strudel to the hot baking sheet in the oven and bake for 0-0 minutes until the apple strudel is golden brown. Serve warm whipped cream, vanilla sauce, or vanilla ice cream. You can also sprinkle it powdered sugar.
