THE STORY Long before science got in the way, producers of whisky thought that the angels came down and took the 2% of whisky which evaporates from the oak casks during the maturation process. This philosophy was accepted and become known as The Angels Share. Distillers still believe in this angelic story and so accept that heaven has a love of whisky as much as the world. Find us on:
Our Products Angels Share Glass is made by a process in glassmaking called Flame Lamp Working, this is totally different from Kiln Glassmaking. All our glassware is handmade on a bench using a small flame torch and then fired in a small kiln. The tools we use are similar but on a much smaller scale allowing us to create designs no other kiln glassmaker can achieve. The Whisky Angel THE ANGELS SHARE WHISKY ANGEL is a truly unique piece of hand blown glass. Every single angel is uniquely designed to hold whisky through a secret process known only to the skilled family of craftsmen who have created it. The Angel measures 70mm x 40mm and contains 25ml/2.5cl of scotch malt whisky.
