SPECIALS AND EVENTS JANUARY CIGAR OF THE MONTH GRAN HABANO BLUE in GREEN GRAN ROBUSTO The Blue in Green name comes from a George Rico s favorite Miles Davis song. George blended this cigar with vintage Nicaraguan tobaccos and finished it with a velvety smooth Connecticut wrapper. The smoke has a creamy texture with sweet cedar, and coffee notes. Medium bodied, the filler really shines in the newest offering from Gran Habano. SPIRIT SPECIALS BURNING CHAIR BOURBON Dave Phinney s new project blends 3 different bourbons together, that are then aged in cabernet casks and bottled at 88 proof. Big sweet aromatics on the nose, are followed by vanilla, and sweet baking spices. The finish is long and warming, GLENDRONACH 15YR This Speyside distillery has long been a cult classic and is experiencing an expansion in the USA. Aged over 15 years in two different sherry casks (Ximenez and Oloroso), then married together to form the final dram. Cherries, chocolate, citrus zest and honey all combine to for a rich, lush lingering finish. KNOB CREEK RYE $10 Great to sip on or as a base in cocktails. This 100 proof rye is aged a bit longer than most others on the market and it shows with some barrel sweetness evident. However, the rye spice is immediately apparent, along with some citrus notes, pepper and mint. Well balanced and fuller bodied.
