Our 6 th grade Band Concert is Thursday, May 3 at 6:30pm and the 7 th and 8 th grade Band performs at 7:30pm, all in the HS Theater. See you there! Race for Cans is a fundraiser that collects money and/or cans for Care and Share, a local food bank here in Colorado Springs. This event will be held on the multi-purpose field by the bus lot during your Thunder Time class. The cost to participate is $2 or two cans of food. Tickets will be sold at lunch, May 1st through the 4th. The 6th grader s race will be on May 7th, the 7th grade will be on May 8th and the 8th grade will be on May 9th. Here s how it work, for every lap you run or walk you will receive a ticket. That ticket can be entered in our raffle for some amazing prizes. These prizes include Louie s Pizza, Skate City, Summit and more. Our goal is 500 participants. There
will be a donut party to the Thunder Time with the most percentage of participants. Also the grade level with the most participants will receive a spirit point. 8 th Grade Girls: Spring Volleyball with DCC High School players will be held on Tuesdays starting May 1 thru May 22. It will be in the high school gym from 5:00 6:30pm. Just show up and bring the signed release form found in the MS and HS front office, or outside Coach Bravo s office. Open to any local player 9 th 12 th grade (for fall 2018). Flyers are in the MS and HS main office. Registration is now open and space is limited.
