History 1895 Small school for winegrowers founded by Province of Styria, central school in Maribor Slovenia 1920 After World War I (Maribor was not in Austria any more) Styrian Training Centre for Fruit- and Winegrowing 1971 Training for Fruitgrowing is positioned in Gleisdorf (70 km away) Silberberg specialises in Winegrowing and Vinification 2012 Fruitgrowing competence centre is placed back at Silberberg again 2014 In September Fruit&Wine branches start as a combined Educational Competence Centre for Fruit and Wine Production

Silberberg concept Year 1 (10 months) Year 2 (8 months) Vocational matriculation exam (10 mths) The way to University (graduation in German, Mathematics, English and Economics) has been opened by a cooperation with another educational institution (Maturaschule Benko) and a sponsor (Stefan Stolitzka owning Legero company) awarded a grant of 3.000 per student for the first 5 students who take part in the program

Basics Fees for residential school of 320,-- per month and expenses for activities during the school year Government aid is possible in year 1 for residential fees, in the years to follow for residential fees AND school expenses Schooldays Monday (08:00 am) to Friday (04:20 pm) Application by end of April in person, per mail, e-mail or fax, application forms available at the Silberberg office in paper, per download, per e-mail
