She comes in on Tuesdays, after her shift at the Library (across the street) to help us in the dining room and kitchen. She checks the water cups, cream and sugar to make sure everything is refilled and looks neat. At lunch time, she helps by serving lunch to our seniors. After lunch, she meets with a few seniors who are studying for their citizen s test and helps them prepare for it. Elva has two wonderful children who are now in college and instills in them the gratification of serving in their community and those around them. She is a wonderful lady! Thank you very much Elva. Diabetes Roundtable! Thursday, September 21 10:00 a.m. These meetings offer both preventative and important information on this controllable disease. This is a good time to ask any questions that you might have. 5 It s illegal to throw used syringes in the trash, yard waste barrels, recycling or compost bins NO COST for containers (2 per pick up) Remember, proof of residency and proof of necessity such as prescription is required in order to get a free container.
