The intimate bar serves up an enormous range of whiskies including Scottish independently bottled selections and whisky cocktails beautifully crafted by the Mixologist to delight palates of all kind. In celebration of becoming Asia s first, two officials from The Whisky Ambassador Programme will come to Hong Kong to crown Whisky@Stables the first whisky ambassador venue. Ms Leigh McGrotty and Ms Dea Macleod are two very influential Whisky Ambassadors in the industry. The UK s Accreditation Professional course to select the crème de la crème of whisky ambassadors With the rising popularity of whiskies, The UK has devised accredited training course to promote the whisky culture. The Whisky Ambassador programme is the UK s only accredited training course about whisky. It is accredited by BIIAB (British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body), the UK s leading provider of qualifications for the licensed trade. Its mission is to elevate whisky experience to another level through choosing the best whisky venues and training sommeliers to become whisky ambassadors. There are only 324 currently accredited Whisky Ambassadors in the world, and Mr Kingson Kok and Ms Noble Law, both demonstrating exceptional whisky knowledge, can be hailed as one of the best in Asia. Today s Special: The Gaelic Whiskies The Gaelic Whiskies came from Isle of Skye, the largest and most northerly large island in the Hebrides of Scotland where the Gaelic-speaking culture has remained. In 1976, Sir Iain Noble set up The Gaelic Whiskies. In order to provide authentic whisky and keep the tradition, The Gaelic Whiskies pioneered the re-introduction of unchilfiltered whisky, allowing the world to see its originality. It has an added touch of sweetness to the biscuitlike taste. No wonder it has become the ladies favourite. Té Bheag Blended Malt Smooth and slightly peated, Té Bheag (pronounced chey vek ) has a delicate flavour with a toffee-like richness. It is a connoisseurs' blended whisky with a high malt content. Poit Dhubh 12 Year Old Malt Poit Dhubh (pronounced potch ghoo ) is matured in sherry casks and has a soft, graceful flavour with a varying balance of sweetness and peatiness depending on age.
