Formerly the Grill Room and originally established in 1865, this stunning room has been restored exquisitely to its original Louis XVI detailing and renamed, in tribute to its most famous patron, as the Oscar Wilde Bar. Nestled between the elegance of Mayfair and the creativity of Soho, the Oscar Wilde Bar is the space where great minds came together to change the world. It is in this very room that Oscar Wilde fell in love with Lord Alfred Douglas, Aubrey Beardsley debated with Whistler, David Bowie retired Ziggy Stardust and Mick Jagger, The Beatles and Elizabeth Taylor danced the night away. Oscar An authentic and historic Lapsang Souchong. Rich, complex, sophisticated. Lightly smoked over pine, it has wonderful woody, campfire notes and autumn fruit flavours. Named after Oscar Wilde. This is a masculine tea which reflects the complex, sophisticated man who was admired and loved by many for his brilliance and wit, but persecuted by others for his lifestyle. Celestine Two soft Chinese black teas with organic vanilla pod make an indulgent and sensuous infusion. Flavours of plum from the black tea complemented with sweet, fragrant vanilla. Named after the wife of the founder of Café Royal who had a great influence on its style. The tea is strong and sophisticated, made sweet by the vanilla and feminine with the pretty cornflowers. Golden Caryatid Black Tea from Yunnan Province, China, is hand-rolled into individual pearls. The tea leaves are flecked with golden highlights and give a satisfying rich, sweet, smooth, malty infusion. Inspired by the gold Caryatid s around the ceiling of the Oscar Wilde Bar. The round tea pearls are flaked with gold and gracefully unravel in hot water. Queensberry A refreshing herbal infusion that is light and naturally caffeine free uplifting and energizing at any time of the day. Citrus hints of lemon softened by fennel and sweetened by liquorice root. Named not after the Marquis of Queensberry,but for Bosey, his son and the lover of Oscar Wilde. Bosey, was refreshingly unconventional and this herbal infusion is bright, colourful and appealing. 1865 Blend A specially designed blend of Assam Black Tea (India), Kenya Black Tea (Africa) Rwanda Black Tea (Africa) Yunnan Dian Hong (China). A traditional English Breakfast tea that is smooth, brisk, robust, malty and dark. Great with or without milk. Earl Grey A classic Earl Grey made from black tea infused with the best Italian Bergamot oil. The taste is fragrant with citrus notes of bergamot and studded with pretty cornflowers. Robust enough to take with milk if desired. Darjeeling The champagne of black teas. A classic Second Flush Darjeeling from the organically certified Arya Estate. Light, bright, refreshing and rounded, with a golden liquor. Ideal without milk. Amba Estate Ceylon Long, fine black leaves flecked with gold have been hand-picked, rolled and dried by Beverley Wainwright and her team of local women, who produce each tea in small batches and with the utmost care. The tea is a beautiful amber colour with a lovely chocolatesweet aroma and taste. Khongea Assam Gold A blend of two, high grade, Khongea Estate. It gives a strong, dark liquor that is smooth and rich with notes of fruit. Not heavily malty, but brisk and full-bodied making it a classic breakfast tea which works well with or without milk.

Lychee & Rose Noir This classic Chinese tea is made sweet and satisfying by the exotic flavours of the Lychee. The added Rose petals give beautifully soft, floral notes to this lovely delicate blend. Strawberry Noir A vibrant strawberry tea complemented by pieces of dried hibiscus. The flavour of English summer, strawberry fields in a cup. Peach Noir Indulgent peach notes in this juicy infusion that is fragrant and sweet. Mango Noir This intense mango tea is bursting with flavour, a deep and delightfully tropical infusion. Jasmine Pearls Soft, young Chinese green tea leaves are hand rolled in pearls and infused over several nights with layers of fresh jasmine flowers to develop the fragrant natural Jasmine taste. This tea captures the delicacy of the flowers without overwhelming the sweet, creamy softness of the green tea. Jade Tips These green tea leaves grow high in the cool misty mountain air of Fujian and are picked young. It has a clean, refreshing vegetal taste and a long lasting, pleasingly sweet aftertaste. Iron Buddha Iron Buddha is China s most famous and popular Oolong tea. The leaves are hand rolled into the classic fisted balls of a traditional rolled Oolong. The taste is fruity, floral and sweet. 2010 White Dragon loose Puerh tea This superb Puerh is made from the highest grade leaves in Puerh city itself - Simao. The leaves are known for their small, tippy quality which makes them taste extra sweet. Silver Needle This champagne coloured Chinese tea is made up of soft, plump young 'needles', or immature leaf buds, covered in tiny silvery hairs. High in antioxidants, the liquor is soft and refreshing and has a creamy, delicate taste with sweet notes of honeydew melon.
Triple Mint A combination of Wild Jordanian Mint, British Black Peppermint and Water Mint that gives an incredible depth and a clean, bright flavour. The mix of spearmint and peppermint will cool and refresh the palate.
