News from Allium Working Group (AWG) August 2017 The Allium Working Group agreed on their crop-specific standards for in vitro culture and cryopreservation It is on http://www.ecpgr.cgiar.org/aegis/aquas-quality-management-systemfor-aegis/genebank-standards/agreed-standards/ Information about members AWG Marta Olas from Poland terminated her employment contract in the Research Institute of Horticulture in Skiernewice. Dr Mariusz Chojnowski will work with Allium germplasm.
Annual progress Tasks of the 1st meeting of project (SafeAlliDiv) and their fulfillment 1. Ask Vera Shumilina from Russia about samples of shallots from the Baltic region I and Dainis asked her. Negotiation is going in a positive direction 2. Send the information about meeting of ECPGR Networking, in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I sent this to all members of AWG on 30.11.2017 3. Send the list of Finnish, Norwegian and Croatian accessions shallot in the Czech collection to Finland, Norway and Croatia I sent it on 17 July 2017
