Rack Points rewards bonus cards should be in the mail Raisin Rack customers who have earned a reward in our new Rack Points program should soon be receiving in the mail the postcard pictured at right that can be applied to a future purchase in our stores. Each rewards card is worth %10. It can be used on any purchase at the Raisin Rack but cannot be redeemed as cash. Any remaining balance after a transaction is transferred to a gift card. There had been a slight delay in mailing the rewards cards by the company that handles the processing, but the issue has been resolved and cards should be arriving for those customers who have attained the 300!point level. Please note that the cards are processed by a facility in New Jersey and take approximately two to three weeks to arrive at your home once you have earned a bonus. If you encounter any problems with the rewards or have any questions about the program, please contact one of our sta" members. If you have not already done so, verify your address at the register to guard against mailing errors with the rewards cards. We also want to thank our customers who have participated in the program and opted!in with updated address and biographical information. In the first month of the program, we are happy to announce that bonus rewards earned by our customers were nearly twice what we had anticipated. Thank you! Raisin Rack Recipe Corner Providing natural foods and nutritional products to health!minded people since 1978 Don and Paulette Caster Raisin Rack Founders and Owners Cut!Out Cookies This recipe is taken from Nearly Normal Cooking for Gluten-Free Eating found at the Raisin Rack.! Ingredients: 1/4 cup shortening 1/4 cup cup oil 2/3 cup sugar 2 egg yolks 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 3/4 cup gluten-free flour mix 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tbs. water (as needed) food coloring Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream shortening, sugar and oil until fluffy. Add separated egg yolks, vanilla extract and food coloring. Add in gluten-free flour mix and salt, alternating with water as necessary to achieve the desired consistency. Refrigerate for at least one hour. Lightly flour the rolling surface and rolling pin with flour or cornstarch. Roll the dough to approximately 1/8 inch thickness and dust cookie cutters before using to cut shapes. Place cookies onto a greased cookie sheet and decorate, if desired. Bake approximately 8-10 minutes until they begin to lightly brown at the edges. When baked, frost with gluten-free icing, if desired.
