Extracts is a unique tea from the Western Cape region of South Africa and has been enjoyed by South Africans for more than 100 years. It is naturally caffeine free, low in tannins, contains no oxalic acid and is rich in flavonoids and antioxidants, making it the ideal beverage for young and old. It is believed to have a soothing effect on the central nervous system, has antispasmodic properties and aids in the management of allergies. It is traditionally served as a hot or cold beverage, but is increasingly being used in novel applications. Limited offers you a wide range of products with the addition of our new extracts. Extracts offer endless opportunities for creating new products, formulations and even adding new flavours to existing ranges. The extracts in our portfolio can be used in a number of applications in the food, beverage and cosmetic industries. Our flexible process allows us to develop customized extracts according to client specification and product development can be done in collaboration with clients. E1CHA Hot Extract E1CHA E1CHA E1CHA is a hot water soluble extract, containing a minimum of 26% polyphenols, including the complete phenolic compounds found in. E1CCJ Extract 02 E1CCJ E1CCJ E1CCJ consists of the cold water soluble fraction of and has a minimum of 24% polyphenols. It has a very attractive chestnut reddish brown colour when disolved. *** *** *** The product is 100% soluble at 20 C. *NTU value is typical under 80 when dissolved at 2g/L. This product is excellent for use in iced tea/rtd applications, especially in an environment that is not very acidic and where the application does not require 100% clarity. Can also be used in dairy products etc. E1CCL Extract 01 Acid stabilized E1CCL E1CCL E1CCL is a cold water soluble product that is acid stabilized. This product is more stable than E1CCJ in chilled beverage applications, especially in low ph formulations. As it offers great stability it is the preferred choice for PET packaging. The product is completely soluble at 20 C. * NTU value is <0 when dissolved in 2g/L. Ideal for any application with a low ph formulation such as acidified cold beverages, where clarity is essential. E2CCJ Green Extract 02 E2CCJ E2CCJ This extract is made from unfermented Green. It is typically higher in the unique antioxidants than fermented and contains a minimum of 0% polyphenols. E2CCJ consists of the cold water soluble fraction of Green and has a very attractive light orange colour when dissolved. *** *** *** The product is completely soluble at 20 C. *NTU value is <80 when dissolved in 2g/L. Can be used in iced tea/rtd applications, especially in an environment that is not very acidic. Ideal for applications where the unique antioxidant character of Green is required (eg. cosmetics, foodstuffs, dairy and nutritional supplements). E2CCL Green Extract 01 Acid stabilized E2CCL E2CCL E2CCL is an acid stabilized cold water soluble extract. This product is more stable than E2CCJ in chilled beverage applications, especially in low ph environments. It is lighter in appearance than E2CCJ when solubilized, but offers greater stability, making it the preferred choice for PET packaging. The product is completely soluble at 20 C. *NTU value is <0 when solubilized in 2g/L. Ideally used in low ph formulations such as acidified cold beverages, where clarity is required. It typically contains a minimum of 15% polyphenols and contains a much higher level of antioxidants than other green teas. E4CCJ consists of the cold water soluble fraction of Honeybush and has a very attractive light brownish colour when dissolved. It consists of 100% Honeybush with no additives of colourants. 100% soluble at 20 C. *NTU value is <80 when dissolved in 2g/L. Can be used in iced tea/rtd applications, especially in an environment that is not very acidic. Ideal for applications where the unique antioxidant character or fruity, floral and honeylike taste of Honeybush is required (eg. cosmetics, foodstuffs, dairy and nutritional supplements).
