SAFETY PRECAUTIONS IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following: Read all instructions. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts or from spilled, hot liquid. To protect against electric shock, do not place cord, plug, or Coffee System in water or other liquid. Unplug from outlet when either the Coffee System or clock is not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning the appliance. Coffee System must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of counter to prevent accidental tipping. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged supply cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Supply cord replacement and repairs must be conducted by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Call the provided customer service number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electrical shock, or personal injury. Use only the carafe provided with the appliance. Do not use outdoors. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including stove. The carafe is designed for use with this Coffee System. It must never be used on a range top or in a microwave oven. Do not use a carafe with a loose or weakened handle. Do not clean carafe with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive materials. Be certain carafe lid is securely in place during brew cycle and when pouring coffee. Do not use force when placing lid on carafe. Do not place Coffee System on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. 4 840298500 EN v08.indd 4 5/11/18 4:15 PM

Remove reservoir and shake it. LCD displays ADD COFFEE Ensure brew basket is in place and drawer is fully closed. Remove coffee from basket, leaving the brew basket in the drawer. Zero scale, then add coffee. Coffee scale always displays weight in mode Add brew basket and paper filter to the drawer with no coffee. Zero scale, then add coffee. To reset WATER FILTER reminder, turn Mode Selector Bezel to CLEAN, and hold down the ZERO button until WATER FILTER reminder is removed. Coffee is not dispensing Ensure carafe is in place. Overflow protection may be activated. If a lot of coffee is added and brew basket is about to overflow, the scale will detect this and the heater will turn off to allow the basket to drain. Once the coffee has drained to a certain level, the heater will turn back on and finish the brew. The unit will continue to display BREWING while this feature is activated. Coffee tastes bad Too much water or too little water was added. Too much coffee or too little coffee was added. Poor coffee quality or freshness. Poor water quality. Use filtered or bottled water for better taste. 19 840298500 EN v08.indd 19 5/11/18 4:15 PM

TROUBLESHOOTING Coffee overflows from brew basket Too much coffee was added. Recommended maximum amount is 82g of coffee. Decaffeinated or finely ground coffee is more likely to cause overflow. Use slightly less grounds when brewing these types of coffees. Coffee grounds may have fallen between the paper filter and brew basket when coffee was being added. Paper filter not open fully or in the proper position. Rinse brew basket before inserting paper filter. This will make it easier for the edges of the paper filter to remain pressed against the side of the basket. Poor quality paper filter. Longer than normal brew time Too much water was added (10 cups max). Coffee Systen needs cleaning. Overflow protection may have been activated during brew. If a lot of coffee is added and brew basket is about to overflow, the scale will detect this and the heater will turn off to allow the basket to drain. Once the coffee has drained to a certain level, the heater will turn back on and finish the brew. This may lengthen the brew time. Coffee overflows from carafe Too much water was added (10 cups max). Carafe was not emptied since the last use. Wolf, Wolf & Design, Wolf Gourmet, W & Design and the color red as applied to knobs are registered trademarks and service marks of Wolf Appliance, Inc. All service provided by Wolf Gourmet under this warranty must be performed by Wolf Gourmet factorycertified service, unless otherwise approved in advance by Wolf Gourmet, and all service will be provided during normal business hours. This warranty does not cover wear from normal use, use not in conformity with the printed directions, or damage to the product resulting from negligence, accident, alteration, abuse, misuse, or improper service or repair.
