Chili Cook Off FAQ

Chili Cook Off FAQ What is the Chili Cook off? o It is our school s biggest fundraiser! People bring chili and compete for the coveted title of the best. Bid on items from our silent auction. Try your luck with the 50/50 raffle while the kids enjoy their own raffle. Gather with friends and family and this amazing community. And have fun! How long has there been a chili cook off? o This will be our sixteenth year! Why do we do this event? o The chili cook off and silent auction are our PTO s biggest fundraiser. The majority of our budget comes from the chili cook off. We use these funds to help supplement our schools needs i.e.: classroom equipment, furniture, teacher needs, gym equipment, outdoor learning environment, and events such as Muffins and Math, Fall Fest, pool party, climbing wall and the upcoming spring program. Do I need to be an active member of PTO to volunteer? o NO!! We love volunteers! We know that schedules are tricky and sometimes going to an evening meeting just doesn t work. There are lots of ways to use your time, energy and talents to help the PTO and our school. Check out the sign-up links sent in the weekly newsletter. Make sure your email is included in our mailing list or contact a member of PTO. We appreciate your help! When is the chili cook off? o Mark your calendars! Chili cook off is Thursday, March 7 th @ 5:30pm Can I bring chili? o Yes!! We will have sign-up sheets at Math and muffins and also an online sign up later next week. We have had over 30 crocks of chili in the past. Can I donate something? o Yes! We have lots of talented people in this community. If you would like to donate any goods or services or create your own basket, please do! Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0b4aa8aa22a3fd0-chili1 How much are tickets? o Tickets are $5 adults, $3/kids, 2years and under are free. You can buy your tickets in advance starting next week. What about dessert? o Bring your cash and satisfy your sweet tooth at the Model UN bake sale table. Help fund their big trip to Chicago!
