D1.4 Defined new varieties for cultivation in specific EU areas and cultivation systems (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, currant and blueberry) (P1, P2, P3, P5, P6). Month 40. Sub-Task 1.1.2 Assessment of pre-commercial material Additionally to the collation of existing data within the partnership, we hold substantial amounts of potentially useful genetic material: both advanced (elite) breeding lines and interspecific hybrids that represent a resource for future cultivar development, as well as new cultivars from non-eu sources. This material is utilised in identifying new, promising varieties with special characteristics suitable for fresh consumption, and for elite material for further breeding.

Defined new varieties for cultivation in specific EU areas and cultivation systems (strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, currant and blueberry) (P1, P2, P3, P5, P6). Month 40. D1.4 Defined new varieties it means best new germplasm for growers: new released varieties and advanced selections about to be released as new cvs. Please report new varieties, if you have, or at least few new advanced selections for all berries you have been involved. Report for each genotype the main traits for plant, flower and fruit quality Some of the genotypes you include for this deliverable can be also of interest for D1.2 Characterized germplasm For D1.2 we intend the best germplasm for breeders (breeding Lines: cvs and selections) For D1.4 we intend the best germplasm for growers (new cultivars and advanced selections) D1.1. The exiting germplasm during the project. Data on fruit sensorial and nutritional quality can be can be then used also for deliverable 3.4 Characterization and quantification of germplasm quality
