Already a popular heat-and-serve entrée from our kitchen, some regular customers of Victor s Seafood department (inside our Roland Avenue store) expressed the desire for a version they could bake at home. Hand-formed using premium, jumbo lump crabmeat and a hint of classic Old Bay, word of the special-request crab cakes quickly spread, becoming a you-snooze-you-loose special made daily, in limited quantities. Shortly after, the new crab cakes went on to earn a permanent spot inside Victor s display case, and today, it s that same time-tested, 30+ year recipe that is made by hand in both stores seafood departments, every day.
