1/gain Registered Charity in England & Wales (1144653) Issue Rhifyn 108 February Chwefror 2019 VOLUNTEERING Is there anyone who is willing to become part of the rota to prepare food at your Community Centre. There is no need to be a trained chef/cook. Simple food and the easiest dishes are the one pot cooking. This saves on preparation and the amount of pots, pans and utensils used. Don t worry someone will be on hand to show you where everything is and how it works and lend a helping hand. If anyone is interested please pass your details to the newsletter editor. Thank you. WINTER SUPPER 6.30pm Saturday 2 nd February, 2019 We will be holding the annual winter supper evening at your community centre. There will be a nice warming chicken stew, dessert and hot drink - 5.00 for members and 7.00 for non-members. We are able to cater for other dietary requirements. If you wish to attend please put your name on the list at the community centre, email newsletter editor, or let one of the trustees know. KEYS The Community Centre can still be accessed by those with keys. I have had no notification of persons who will require the code for access once the locks are changed. WORKS AT YOUR COMMUNITY CENTRE Funding is at present being sought to insulate and re-lay the floors in the Centre. This is to try and minimise the major cause of draughts in the building. If further funding is available a repair is required to the roof on the extension, by the toilets, along with replacing blown double glazed units. It is hoped that with help the Centre can be redecorated and tidied up inside and out. This usually takes place during August. Any donations, assistance or materials for this work would be very much appreciated. Please notify the newsletter editor so you are not locked out. OIL ORDER The latest oil order was placed on Monday 7 th January, 2019 with Certas (Humphreys, Porthmadog). Price on the day was 48.17 per litre. Price offered to the syndicate was 44.17p per litre. SCAMS Latest Scams are the usual HMRC wanting bank details to pay refunds; DVLA official looking email wanting bank details to pay refunds of excise duty; BT phone scams after personal details/passwords. KEEP ALL OF YOUR DATA SAFE.
