APF 2017 OVERVIEW
Message from our Continental Director It gives me a great pleasure to welcome all of you to the 2017 Asian President Form in Hong Kong. The Forum will be the Asian version of the WorldChefs Congress 2016 in Thessaloniki, Greece, where our Asian chef teams can share experience of best practices, discuss the challenges we are facing and share fabulous few days of networking. The meeting will be attended by our WorldChefs President Thomas Gugler and Vice President Martin Kobald; where we will have a chance to meet them Face to Face, learn more about their plans and raise questions of our concerns. Adjacent of our APF is the Culinary Competition Committee who will have their meeting and are able to join us for a sharing session on their latest development. Immediate after our APF we will have the Hong Kong International Culinary Classic Judges meeting taking place where you will be meeting all the International judges on the evening, followed by a dinner where you can meet old friends and make new ones! All in all, the 2017 APF promises to be a packed and exciting Forum where I look forward to welcoming YOU in Hong Kong!
Welcome Message from HKCA We are honored to be the host city of the 2017 APF. On behalf of the Hong Kong Chefs Association we would like to welcome you to our colorful, chaotic and fantastic city. I can give you fifty reasons, but you probably only need three; - you will have a chance to share and network with our counter parts in Asia; - you will be housed at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and will have the chance to see the newly built third hotel before its official opening; and lastly - Hong Kong offers exceptional culinary experience with some of the world s best food. So, we are here to promise you a fruitful, colorful, and enjoyable Forum. Our team with our young chefs will work hard to ensure you are well taken care of. We would like to invite you to join us at the 2017 HOFEX ICC and afterwards enjoy an optional tour were you can spend a few hours experiencing the Old Town Central of Hong Kong! As their name suggests, this family of restaurants is not afraid to provoke controversy. In fact, they seek it. Contentious or otherwise, each of their ten restaurants aim to involve the diner in a story, in an experience that has more of a narrative than just a plate of brilliant food. Chef Christopher Mark and Syed Asim Hussain, the entrepreneurs behind the Black Sheep Restaurants empire will take us through their exceptional journey and ask them all you want! Program Highlights

The area is packed with heritage sites, landmarks, historic architecture, religious buildings, designer boutiques, shops carrying all sorts of merchandises, and dining and entertainment outlets. It reflects the evolution of Hong Kong from a fishing village to a British colony to a metropolitan city.
