This live auction item is for a Friday and Saturday night stay at an Amish-built authentic one room log cabin outside of DeSoto, Wisconsin (between Prairie du Chien and La Crosse). It is for two (2) adults only. The weekend is being offered in either September or October. Winner must make arrangements with owners a month in advance. The cabin is located on a ridge with 3 acres of woods, in a very secluded area. The stay would include a welcome basket of home baked goodies and a bottle of local wine. This is a beautiful area with many winery s and charming small towns within a few hours drive. There are many restaurants, antique stores, orchards and other fun places to explore. The town of Lansing, Iowa is just 10 minutes away. The July/August issue of Midwest Living magazine featured this area often referred to as the Driftless Region. You can enjoy exploring or just relax and read a book, or roast marshmallows at the fire pit.
