VISIT OUR WEBSITE: Senior Center Hours 8am-3pm Monday-Friday Member Spotlight Dianne King Dianne King was born in Mesa Arizona. She then moved and lived and graduated from high school in a place that doesn t exist. Hint: you were alive when it did exist! She received a B.A. in English from BYU and an M.A. in Humanities from California State University. Dianne has a son, Chris, a daughter-in-law, Sheila, and 4 grandchildren (Jonah, Jeddy, Kylie and Charlie) who live in Gilbert, Arizona. Dianne loves to read, watch movies, travel, play games, volunteer and bargain shop. Her favorite foods are salted mixed nuts, shoestring potatoes, Mexican food (except the green stuff), pomegranates, Culver s onion rings, nearly anything chocolate, and Fuddrucker s (now defunct locally) hamburgers. Her bucket list includes visiting Savannah, Georgia and Edinburgh and Glasgow, Scotland. (Also the Highlands, time permitting.) When Dianne was visiting her family in Gilbert a few months ago, she needed some work pants, so she bought a pair that were too big because they were only $3 (see hobbies above). She wore the new pants to see Coco in a crowded theater with her family. When the lights came up and she stood to leave, the pants dropped to her knees. Chris and the grandkids were completely nonplussed. Dianne s favorite adage is a Native American saying: Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way.
