Hong Kong Tour - How to get to Famous Dim Sum - a Chinese Dim Sum Restaurant Nearby attractions, the Flower Market + Bird Market 5 minutes walk away Here is the link to the Tripadvisor site for the reviews - https://en.tripadvisor.com.hk/restaurant_review-g294217-d7940072-reviews-famous_dim_sum- Hong_Kong.html Now, you can always get there by taxi but I will work on the assumption that you will take the MTR (subway system) Below are detailed instructions with images attached on how to get there. image fds1 - Business Card with the address in Chinese of the Restaurant should you wish to take a taxi image fds2 - a portion of the extensive menu the place has image fds3 - you need to find your way to Prince Edward MTR Station and find exit A image fds4 - go up the escalator turn left and go up the steps image fds5 - go up the steps and at the top turn right and you will see Playing Field Road image fds6 - cross the road and head towards the blue Goodyear sign image fds7 - walk past the store with the Michelin sign image fds8 - this is the restaurant image fds9 - this is the very local interior but it is clean and tidy image - MTR Subway System Map personally I think the place is great and it is fast becoming a Hong Kong legend! it is considered a local restaurant! and yes, they do serve soft drinks the staff do not speak much English (part of the charm!) but ordering is easy (see below) they serve all sorts of great Chinese food but specialise in traditional Dim Sum it can get a little busy inside, I guess all part of the charm and sometimes you have to share with strangers generally you do not have to line up it is very popular with local people! the menu is in English and they have great pictures of the popular dishes so ordering is very simple they will give you an order form and pencil and just tick the dish number the place is always a little noisy, the sign of a great restaurant the cost of a meal is very cheap there is no need to tip payment is CASH only, HK$ this place really is called Famous Dim Sum and is literally one minute away from the much more publicised One Dim Sum... One Dim Sum always has long lines, to me the food is the same at either place If this does not work for you and you want alternatives then simply click on this link for the restaurant ratings at Tripadvisor Hong Kong - http://www.tripadvisor.com/restaurants-g294217-hong_kong.html If you have any questions then please ask.
