Edlyn National Sales & Marketing Conference 2016 Edlyn s National Sales & Marketing new and exciting technology, products the 3 days, discussing and developing Conference for 2016 was recently held and processes, which will help continue new and better ways to partner and in Melbourne bringing together key Edlyn s commitment to a 10/10 offer support to customers. A word from the CEO It s December and as so often happens, everyone is wondering where the year has gone. It s been another year of challenges and surprises, but at the midpoint of the financial year, we are very close to our overall sales growth expectations and we have great opportunities to cultivate and deliver on by year-end. Establishment of our Maryborough operation has been a huge undertaking for the business. It was gratifying to see the pride and passion in which our staff demonstrated in the execution of this project, to ensure it met our high expectations. This required a serious input of time and commitment from all departments within the business, whilst we continued to meet our customer s expectations every day. Thank you again to all involved! members of the management, sales and marketing teams from across the country. The event was held over 3 days in late November, and provided a fantastic opportunity to discuss and review the current year s progress and customer satisfaction, as well as the challenges and focus points for 2017. The theme of this conference was embracing change and presentations from Edlyn s sales, marketing & innovation departments showcased customer experience. The landscape of the foodservice industry is constantly changing and therefore what s important to customers today is not the same as what was important yesterday. The team dedicated time over the 3 day conference to discuss these changes in industry and the concerns and challenges of today s foodservice customer. With this in mind Edlyn sales team members also participated in an advanced sales training seminar over The conference concluded with a fantastic evening event held for Edlyn s staff Christmas party where all had a chance to relax and enjoy the hard work that had been put in by everyone all year. Our customer loyalty is testament to the great work that everybody does, day in and day out, and everyone playing their part in what we do. I d like to wish all our staff, customers and suppliers and their families a safe and happy Christmas and festive season, and a prosperous 2017. On an important final note, I d like to acknowledge Erich Schmusch, who is finishing work with Edlyn Foods this month. Erich has diligently and passionately served as our South Australian sales broker and representative for the last 7 years. Erich s love and knowledge of the South Australian Foodservice Market has been a great asset to the business. We will miss his friendship and great nature. Please keep in touch Erich! Edlyn introduces a new range of premium products Meet our customer: Highlands Hotel For more than 80 years Edlyn Foods have serviced the Foodservice Industry with high quality products, and the latest additions to the range are no exception. Introducing a new range of rich gravy mixes, flavoursome boosters, hearty soups mixes, sauce mixes and seasonings, that bring a whole new level of quality to commercial kitchens around Australia. The range consists of 23 products, which are all Halal & Kosher certified, as well as Gluten Free (Excluding Traditional Rich Brown Gravy, Traditional Chicken Booster, Chicken Noodle Soup & Minestrone Soup) and come packaged in easy to use and store Edlyn Blue pails. to launch. It was imperative Edlyn could ensure the usability, quality, consistency and flavour of this range to its customers, as they felt this was what was lacking from existing products in the Foodservice market. This full range of products was launched in November 2016 and Edlyn have already received extremely positive feedback regarding the product quality, easy to use packaging along with the look of the pail being extremely easy to identify within a busy kitchen. This new range is available through our extensive national distributor network. The products have undergone significant development and testing, in conjunction with major foodservice operators prior The luxurious dining space at Highlands Hotel, Craigeburn Located in Craigieburn, Victoria, 45 minutes from Melbourne s CBD is the renowned Highlands Hotel. Not wanting to be seen as your typical suburban hotel bistro, Highlands have pushed the boundaries in terms of design and customer experience offering a venue that they truly believe to be of international standard. Offering both buffet & bistro dining, as well as an onsite café lounge and sports bar, Highlands are equipped to cater for a multitude of customer experiences. European stylings and a taste of the orient blend through lush furnishings and sophisticated finishing s of marble, stone and wood. Natural light streams through floor to ceiling glass walls, setting off greenery and rock wall features to inspire tropical undertones. With so much detail and effort put into the setting, it is extremely important that Highlands continue this standard by offering only the very best in their food and beverage menus. Executive Chef Rajat Garg is responsible for the culinary menu at the Highlands Hotel. Having over 15 years experience as a chef and being trained throughout Europe, Raj has an extensive knowledge of many different cuisine types. This proves to be extremely valuable, as many of Highland s customer base come from a range of cultural backgrounds, and therefore developing menus requires an understanding of the flavours and foods such cultures enjoy, and these preferences are incorporated where possible. The Highlands Hotel has utilised Edlyn products for many years, including bakery and dessert mixes, lemon juice, custard powders, condiments and gravy mixes. With the extremely high standard set throughout the venue, it is very important to have the right products to support the dining experience, which is why Raj & Highlands choose to partner with Edlyn Foods. 4 5

New products from Edlyn Innovation Update Edlyn Food s Traditional Mango Flavoured Topping Edlyn Food s popular Napolitana Sauce Edlyn have been extremely busy over the second half of 2016 with the release of two new Foodservice products. MANGO FLAVOURED TOPPING Edlyn are excited to announce the addition of a great new flavour to its famous topping range, just in time for summer. This great new offering has a ripe, sweet Kensington style Mango taste and aroma, perfect for shakes and desserts on a warm sunny day. Packed in a convenient 3 litre bottle, it is gluten free and made right here in Australia. Our extensive range of 12 yummy topping flavours, includes Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Caramel, Banana, Coffee, Lime, Spearmint, Raspberry, Pineapple, Blue Heaven & now delicious Mango makes Edlyn s topping range the largest in Australia. NAPOLITANA SAUCE Our new Napolitana Sauce is of a traditional style, and is made using Australian tomatoes, along with onion and a selection of herbs resulting in a genuine homemade taste. Conveniently packed in 3kg pouches for easy use and storage, our Napolitana Sauce is gluten free, has no artificial colours or flavours, is halal & kosher certified and has a 9 month ambient shelf life. Edlyn s purpose is To create new and better ways to serve great food experiences and hence have been working hard on almost 100 new and improved products and packaging skus in the last 12 months. Since January 2016 Edlyn s Innovation Team have developed, trialled and implemented a range of new and improved products for both the Edlyn brand and contract customers, and new packaging innovations mainly for its branded products. Edlyn s Innovation team is extremely passionate about its branded products and always try to listen and respond to customer needs. Based on customer feedback, significant improvements have been made to existing Edlyn branded products, these include the complete range of Edllyn soups and mousse dessert mixes. In addition, the Innovation Team has also been responsible for the design of Edlyn s new packaging containers, which launched in conjunction with Edlyn s new branding in late 2016. Edlyn s vision is To be the innovation partner for those who want to serve great food experiences, which makes our partnerships with our customers extremely valuable. In the last 12 months, Edlyn have developed and launched almost 30 new products and 10 product improvements for contract customers. These products include different varieties of sauces and dressings, bastings and marinades, mayonnaises and chutneys, gravy, dry seasoning and spices mixes and chocolate and tea powder drinks. It has been quite a fantastic and intense year for Innovation within Edlyn and there are still almost 10 new products to be launched in Dec 16/Jan 17, proving that innovation never stops at Edlyn. are used for all dry mix products.
