Looking out over the Iles d Or, off the French Riviera, nestled in a 210-acre vineyard that has been organic for almost 40 years, Figuière is a family-owned estate that captures the vast aromatic complexity of this irreplaceable protected natural environment, all its mineral potency and inspiration to craft signature wine collections steeped in tradition yet driven by innovation. Sun-drenched wines that express a love for the land of Provence. NATURE IS A LUXURY

A FAMILY DOMAINE For over half a century, the Combard family has been handing down the winemaking tradition to its sons and daughters. Magali, Delphine and François took the helm of the winery from their father Alain Combard and are proudly carrying on his pioneering spirit. Blending heritage and innovation, Figuière is a traditional winery using time-honored methods that aspires to boldly and creatively cultivate a living legacy through novel winemaking techniques. FROM BURGUNDY TO PROVENCE The Combard family s winegrowing story began in Burgundy in the 1970s when Alain Combard joined his friend and partner Michel Laroche in developing what would quickly become one of the best wineries in Chablis. In 1992, the pilot, sailor and avid explorer went looking for new unchartered winegrowing country, which he found in Provence. A year later, he discovered the 44.5 acre Saint-André de Figuière estate and decided to establish himself there, steadfast in his belief that Provence rosés deserve the same place at the table as fine white wines.

A PARADISE WHERE THE LAND MEETS THE SEA Figuière is ideally located between Toulon and Saint-Tropez, close to Lavandou and Bormes-les-Mimosas, overlooking the Porquerolles Island and halfway between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif des Maures mountain range. Near the town of La Londe-les-Maures, the property stretches across 210 acres of vines surrounded by pine forests, cork oaks, strawberry trees and eucalyptus, and enjoys optimum growing conditions and sun exposure. No fewer than 10 grapes varieties grow there, nurtured in the wonderful schist rock terroir that gives Figuière wines their aromatic and mineral style. ORGANIC VITICULTURE SINCE 1979 Through its determination to protect this exceptional environment, Figuière took the decision to grow its grapes organically, starting in 1979, and has received ECOCERT certification. For Alain Combard, it was a matter of pride when he took over the property to keep such pristine land free of chemical fertilizers. Alain, and later his children, firmly believed that rather than a passing fad, they had the duty to maintain rich biological life in the domaine s soil.

PROVENCE: LAND OF GRAND CRUS Figuière strives to promote the quality and creativity of Provence wines with a novel approach through which rosé is designed and formulated to be a «fine wine» with respect to time, craftsmanship and terroir. From a refreshing everyday wine you sip on the beach under the sun, to the finest restaurants in the world where Figuière wines are available. WINES WITH NATURAL ELEGANCE The Figuière style is uncomplicated, pure and refined. It draws its power and natural elegance from the mineral structure provided by its surprising schist terroir. The winemaking approach is also deliberately minimal, earnest, and unprocessed to bring out the genuine personality of this terroir, which lies between land and sea, as well as that of its master winemaker. The result is tight wines that combine power and finesse, balance and aromatic complexity. ROSÉS, WHITES AND REDS FROM PROVENCE While Provence is best known for its rosé wines, Figuière draws on its oenological expertise to take on a range of winemaking techniques specifically for reds and whites. Such versatility is a winemaker s dream! Inspired by the Combard family s Chablis legacy, Figuière whites are grown in schist soil and their minerality and balance make them truly remarkable. The reds are the product of careful blendings and patience during the maturation process, giving them a unique style.

organic wines CONFIDENTIELLE Côtes de Provence La Londe Confidentielle wines are the finest expression of the mineral character typical of the Figuière style. Superior wines that are full-bodied yet balanced made from the best of what nature has to offer. Rare wines Figuière s finest wine and a genuine product of the Domaine, Confidentielle portrays the very best of a vineyard run with masterful skill. The result is wines steeped in tradition, with a Grand Cru profile worthy of the most exciting food wine pairings. The 2016 vintage comes in a new custom-made bottle that echoes the purity of the Figuière style. LA LONDE, A PRESTIGIOUS APPELLATION Since the 2008 vintage, this unique and atypical climate had allowed the creation of a new geographical appellation, called «La Londe». Initially reserved to Confidentielle Red and Rosé, it was widened to the White after validation by the INAO (French agricultural regulating body). The appellations guarantees the expression of a unique terroir and very strict parcel selections as well as blending techniques.

organic wines PREMIÈRE Côtes de Provence Première cuvées are signature wines, they are complex and tight with saline notes and wonderful length on the palate. It is Figuière s purest style, and blends a mineral essence with delicious fullness. The genuine wine The Domaine s Première offering will delight anyone looking for finesse and elegance as well as those who appreciate a crisp wine with depth. Available in rosé, red or white, these wines are Figuière s oldest cuvées. Wines of character that have drawn out the best from their crystalline terroir and Mediterranean grape varieties. Première wines are the product of scrupulously consistent blending processes that portray the terroir and the grape. AN ICONIC BOTTLE For the 2016 vintage, Figuière wines were given a new bottle with a sleek elegant design. The Figuière bottle has a distinctive shape featuring clean lines as a tribute to the mineral purity of its wines. It really comes into its own with the simple and stylish new label. A design that reflects the Domaine s new generation of winemakers who are blending tradition with 21st century techniques, craftsmanship and innovation, excellence and artistry.

LE SAINT ANDRé white Vermentino LE SAINT ANDRé rosé Cabernet, Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache LE SAINT ANDRé red Cabernet, Syrah, Cinsault and Grenache LE SAINT ANDRé indication géographique protégée VAR Wines that are easy-to-drink, produced from the finest terroirs in the region. Delightful length and a pure, lively, clean structure. Wines to discover Le Saint André is made in all three colors and serves as living proof that there is no such thing as an «ordinary wine» at Figuière. The red and the rosé both feature compelling blends that combine elegant Cinsault, peppery Syrah and powerful Grenache with a small percentage of Cabernet for three wines with substance. Made using the same techniques as for the Côtes de Provence, these are soft, kindhearted wines that are perfect for sipping on a warm day in the shade. Wines from the var These three cuvées, based on a long-term established purchased wines activity, embody the full scope of the Figuière s blending experience and dedication in favor of quality at all levels.

WELCOME TO THE DOMAINE Wine connoisseurs and amateurs alike can visit the tasting room, which is a unique place nestled in the heart of the vineyard. The store also proposes a selection of regional products available for sale. Exhibitions are presented throughout the year displaying the works of several different artists who share the Domaine s own creative vision.

FIGUIÈRE AND THE «ART» OF LIVING Art is the cornerstone of the Figuière values: the art of blending, the art of winemaking, the art of bringing out the best from nature and creating collections of wines with a unique character. So it was only natural that the Combard family began sponsoring a festival of live performances called the Figuière Festival offering modern, eye-opening and offbeat theater productions, dance performances and music a happy marriage of nature and culture in the middle of the summer
