What is the GeoBee? Each year thousands of schools in the United States participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography. Friday, December 6 th Fourth and Fifth grade Seldens students will take part in a classroom geography bee. One winner and one alternate will be selected from each class. The winner from each class will then participate in a school geography bee on Friday, December 13 th. The alternates will be asked to participate if the winner is absent. December Stocking Stuffers The Cardinals Care Club is happy to partner with the Community Holiday Coalition as they celebrate their 18th Year of Brightening Up the Holidays for Loudoun County families. The Cardinals Care Club is stuffing holiday stockings in the month of December. Collections will run until December 5th for all who wish to participate. Ideas for our assigned age groups are below.
