PRODUCE, FLORAL ART, CRAFT, PHOTOGRAPHY, CHILDREN S SECTIONS The Produce Tent will not be open until 8:30am RULES AND REGULATIONS Exhibits may be brought to the Produce Tent between 8:30am and 10:00am All exhibits must be staged by 10:00am The tent will close promptly at 10:00am for judging Exhibits must not be removed from the Produce Tent before 3:30pm It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to label clearly their exhibits in accordance with the Secretary s directions Please ensure that the exhibitor s name is not visible on the exhibits All exhibits must be the bone fide work of the exhibitors in whose names they are entered No exhibit to have been shown previously at Caerwys Agricultural Show The committee will not be responsible for any damage or loss of exhibit For each section, exhibitors are permitted to enter a maximum of THREE exhibits per class To ensure adequate display space the Section Secretary respectfully requests that all entry forms be received by 31 st May 2018. ONLY MEN ALLOWED Judge: Mrs Noel Glover An individual prize of a bottle of whisky kindly donated by Mrs Janice Baldwin-Evans will be awarded to the winner of this class PR 13 Set recipe Lemon Drizzle Cake Ingredients 225g unsalted butter, softened 225g caster sugar 225g self-raising flour 4 eggs Finely grated zest of 1 lemon Drizzle Topping The juice of 1 & half lemons 85g caster sugar Method Heat oven to 180C / Gas 4 Beat together 225g softened unsalted butter with 225g caster sugar until pale and creamy, then add 4 eggs, one at a time, slowly mixing through. Sift in 225g flour, then add the finely grated zest of 1 lemon and mix until well combined. Line a loaf tin (8 x 21cm) with greaseproof paper, then spoon in the mixture and level the top with a spoon. Bake for 45 50 minutes until a thin skewer inserted into centre of the cake comes out clean. While the cake is cooling in its tin, mix together the juice of 1 & half lemons and 85g caster sugar to make the drizzle. Prick the warm cake all over with a skewer or fork then pour over the drizzle-the juice will sink in and the sugar will form a lovely crisp topping. Leave in the tin until completely cool before removing from the tin.
