General Catering Information Guarantees on all Food & Beverage the final number of guests to be in attendance for all banquet functions must be given three business days prior to the event. once given, this number is then not subject to reduction. the hotel will be prepared for 3% above the guaranteed number specified but will not be held responsible for service greater than 3% over the guaranteed number given. if guarantee is not provided within the timeframe the hotel will utilize the last expected number as the minimum number of guests guaranteed and billed. Entrée Selection for events where choice of entrée has been provided a surcharge of $1 above the price of each menu selection will be applied. to assist our staff with prompt service, we require that detailed listing with the number of each entrée selected to be served at each table is provided. if place cards are utilized we recommend noting the guests choice on the place card. Payment All advance deposits are non-refundable and may be made in the form of a personal check, credit card, cash, money order, or cashiers check. all final payments must be made in the form of cash, cashier s check, money order or credit card 72 business hours prior to the function. A credit card is required for all events for guarantee of payment. Food and Beverage Service All food served at the Peabody Marriott must be prepared by our culinary staff unless prior approval has been granted by the event Manager. All food provided by the Peabody Marriott may not be taken from the premises after it has been prepared and served. Liquor Regulations Hotel s liquor license requires that alcoholic beverages only be supplied and dispensed by hotel employees. alcohol services will be denied to those guests who appear to be intoxicated or under age. Hotel will refuse service to guests without proper identification. Massachusetts state law limits the service of alcoholic beverages to two (2) drinks per person per trip to the bar. Hotel reserves the right to discontinue service for the event should this be deemed necessary and reasonable.
General Catering Information Materials sent to the Hotel Due to the layout of the hotel, it is not possible to store display materials and/or show materials. in the event a small amount of materials are to be shipped to the hotel in advance of your function please follow these instructions: The catering or convention service manager at the hotel must be notified in advance that materials are being sent. The catering or convention service manager at the hotel must be informed of the quantity, arrival date and shipper at least one working day in advance of the delivery. Each piece received must be labeled with name of function, date of function and catering or convention service manager responsible for the function. Groups must make arrangements to ship their materials out of the hotel. The guest or organization is responsible for packing, sealing and labeling boxes and contracting the shipping company to make the shipping and billing arrangements. The hotel will store properly sealed and labeled materials for up to two (2) days following the function. Administrative Fee 10% of the food and beverage total, plus 7% Massachusetts state tax, will be added to your account as an administrative fee. The administrative fee or any portion thereof does not represent a tip, gratuity or service charge for wait staff employees, service bartenders or other service employees engaged in the event. Service Charge 15% of the food and beverage total will be added to your account as a service charge, which will be distributed to wait staff employees and service bartenders engaged in the event.
