In 2017, Lithuanian-Japanese trade turnover declined slightly (5%), mainly due to some decrease in exports of Lithuanian origin. In 2016 Lithuanian exports was growing fast, whereas imports slightly declined. In 2017 imports growth was positive, whereas exports negative. Million euro Growth in exports and imports During the last 5 years Lithuanian exports of domestic origin to Japan grew almost 35% on average per year, but these trends were mainly driven by increase in exports of tobacco products in 2016-2017. During the last 5 years imports from Japan grew almost 11% on average per year. Profile of exports of services to Japan Lithuanian exports of services to Japan in 2016 amounted to 101 million euro, which was almost five times more than in 2015. Lithuania has a positive trade balance in services with Japan. The surplus was 97 million euro in 2016. Profile of imports of services from Japan Lithuanian imports of services from Japan in 2016 amounted to 4 million euro only, which was 7% lower than in 2015.
