Origin of Baijiu Maotai Town The location of Guotai s stateof-the-art distillery. In records that go back to 135 BCE, Maotai Town has been recognized as the best source of Baijiu. Distillery Process Generation of Know-how Guotai has inherited the traditional techniques of Baijiu brewing from some extremely distinguished masters. Senior Master Xu, one of China s legendary Baijiu blending masters, brings more than 30 years of skill and experience to his role of putting authentic Baijiu into every bottle of Guotai.
Distillery Process Technical Innovations Our venerable distilling process is governed by a very modern quality control system. We apply three-grade IR fingerprint technology to ensure consistent production. We also use biomolecular methods to determine the species and proportion of yeasts and micro-flora for ideal fermentation. Even our sampling process incorporates computerized automation to complement our human tasters experience in standardizing flavor control.
