Albert Dainton GOLF NEWS MGA News Congratulations to Dave Papagoda who shot a smooth round to take this year s MGA Cup as the 2017 MGA Player of the Year. And congratulations to his caddy, Mike Baldo, who steered the ship through a wet course on a cold day. Kevin Doyle (with caddy Carlos Jensen) fought hard and took 2nd, Robbie Fertel (with Joe Gallagher) took 3rd, and Bill Schneider (with Glenn Hough) took 4th. We appreciate the attitudes of the four players and their caddies conditions were not ideal and rolling a dice on a postponement date was not a good option thanks for rolling with it, guys. We were also very impressed with the spectator attendance on such a crummy weather day. We figured it would be eight mandatory attendees! Thanks for proving us wrong that made us feel like the Cup has become a fun annual event for even those that don t make the final four. That made our 6th Annual MGA Cup Final a fun day in spite of the elements. And it encouraged us to sign back on for a 7th year.
