RULES AND REGULATIONS (FOOD PRESERVATION) 1. All entries must be pre-registered by July 26, 2017. Entries will be accepted between 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2017. 2. All entries must be entered in the name of the canner and will be limited to one (1) entry in each class. 3. Entries must be prepared using clear standard quart and pint canning jars. Jellies, jams and preserves may be in half-pint jars. Commercially canned food jars, such a peanut butter or mayonnaise jars will be disqualified. 4. Entries must be labeled with the name of the contents and dated with the month and year. Entries must be prepared during the current Fair year. (The name of the canner must not appear on the label.) 5. Judges reserve the right to open canned products if necessary to make the best decisions. 6.
