But for those who live more locally, why not dip into the party? Non-residents are invited to book for dinner on Christmas Eve, when the Ashdown Singers will entertain with carols during the Champagne reception which precedes a sumptuous four course menu. Perhaps Christmas Day lunch, five amazing courses also preceded by a Champagne Reception in the Drawing Room, could be an opportunity to abandon the kitchen and indulge. (see Page 6 for menu). Or, to round off the holiday on an upbeat note, why not book for Boxing Day lunch or dinner? On Boxing Day evening harpist Margaret Watson will chair a light hearted musical quiz in the Drawing Room before dinner. Festive Luncheons Between 1st and 24th December our Head Chef Allan Garth prepares a festive lunch menu served in our restaurant on Monday -Friday lunchtimes:- Two courses - 19.95 per person Three courses - 24.95 per person The menu changes daily. There is no lunchtime à la carte menu on weekdays in December before Christmas. The festive lunch menu is also available for parties of between ten and twenty two guests in one of our elegant private rooms on weekdays only. There is no room hire charge but menus must be pre-chosen and advised in advance. (Minimum three courses required for parties in private rooms.)
